Dysfunctional relationships can develop for people in relation to marriage, friendships, with institutions or religion, relationships at work, or anything like that. The Drama Triangle models three roles or positions we can have in those dysfunctional social interactions. When you listen to the episode, remember that this isn’t to judge ourselves or others but to gain awareness for ourselves. As we become aware of these patterns in ourselves, and the “musts” behind them, we start to grow and step into our true selves. This impacts our relationships, and in effect “changes the dance”. Change your dance when it allows you to BE and express more of your true self. Now, this does not mean that you have to completely cut everyone out of your life as your beliefs and values evolve. Listen to today’s episode to find out what I mean. And remember, taking care of your nervous system IS changing the dance.
