On this podcast, Rick Ruvin invites to the show Mark Henry, owner of Integrated Home Inspections. He`s a business development leader with a consistent history of success in fast-paced, service-oriented businesses. He’s worn many different hats: developed an in-house marketing and sales materials program, created and maintained an operations and compliance manual for a new broker dealer, and building and selling new home construction and remodels. Mark shares about his educational background and his industry experience. In the latter part of the conversation Mark talks about how he got into home inspection. Highlight 08:55 – You tend to overdo it, you know, and even specs, I was always kind of an idealist, when it came to that, like, I would want to build a spec the way I want to live in it. And that's the way we approached it. 13:10 - Well, you did what you had to do. I had three kids, and I still had some custom work coming in. With the models, that did generate some business. I had to cut everybody immediately. 17:49 - I mean, if you do the math, you're 110 hours a week, 110 plus, and I had that going for a couple years, almost straight until I'd say about March last year. It started with dropping inspections and I think that hit kind of right away. 30:22 - I want them to know that I am not perfect, but I'm always trying to learn and get better. I'd love to be able to even meet with those contractors that come out and learn more.
