Slavery... sucks. And it wasn't "abolished" with the civil war. "49.6 million people live in modern slavery – in forced labour and forced marriage." (Antislavery.org)

One form of modern human bondage is human trafficking in the sex trade. In this episode, Braus and Scot bring their solutions and humor (respectively) into this serious topic. Braus proposes a law that has worked well in Sweden but is unknown in the United States. Braus calls it "Johns not Janes"—or making it legal to sell sex but not to buy it.

After 24 years of Sweden putting this law into effect, prostitution and human trafficking are down by more than half. (https://www.mic.com/articles/112814/here-s-what-s-happened-in-sweden-16-years-since-decriminalizing-prostitution)
