Roto-gyroman started out life a Roto-gyroboy

The rotary notion first seeded in the soil of his imagination

From there it quickly sprouted wings for hovering up off the ground

Not fixed wings but ones that spun,

Like blades (a propeller above his head).

Next, a stirring occurred; kept recurring

Whipping around; upending his soul.

When young, while running trucks through hand dug ruts,

For hours at a time, among the front yard shrubs.

Gyroboy could play out scenes

Using only stamped-plastic props

Army men (with razor seams), howitzers

Alternating playtime, schooling with circa: 1950s TV

Whirlybird visions got wood burned to his brain!

The gravity of poverty, wouldn’t succeed in depleting

From the ever-flow source of perpetual dreaming

The whorling tornado of self-esteeming

Did build up a treasure trove of stamimagination

Inside him, sufficient to lift him off the ground.
