Spring is here…there are bees, lots of ravens, and crunching sounds of wallabies munching away. Recorded on the edges of the bush just outside of Hobart, Tasmania.
Recording from my driveway in Ridgeway, Tasmania during dusk when the birds called it a night and the frogs and crickets got busy.
Morning birds on a chilly morning in the Yarra Valley in Victoria, Australia. Recorded at a house in Don Valley, surrounded by towering mountain ash trees and ferns. This is a shorter recording than usual, but worth it for the beautiful mockingbird calls.
This was recorded as the sun rose on a chilly winter morning along the shores of the Derwent River in Taroona, Tasmania. The brackish water of the tidal river lap gently on the rocky coast while gulls and lapwings call out, and cormorants sun themselves on rocky outcrops in the water.
This recording was taken just outside the nest of some House Sparrows at my home in Tasmania. The occasional tapping you hear is the sparrows coming in for a landing on the metal roof they have built their nest under.
