On March 2nd, 2013, seven-year-old Ryan Alexander Lovett began convulsing and collapsed in the hallway of his Calgary apartment. He stopped breathing and lay dead long before his panic stricken mother, Tamara Lovett, called 911.

Ryan died due to a staph infection because his mother refused to take him to a doctor. She didn't trust Western medicine and decided to treat her son with homeopathic remedies instead.

A bizarre case of negligence that is both confusing and infuriating.
