**As a leader, you need to know the capabilities of your employees. As mentioned previously in the episode I made about knowing your employees on a personal level, you must also know what each member of your team can and cannot handle. You don’t want to be that leader that tasks a tech wiz with fixing a malfunction on a transmission. The person can probably type hundreds of words per minute and write code all day long, but that’s not going to help him disassemble a transmission and work out the kinks. So, in this episode, I’m going to discuss ways to task your team accordingly.
Episode Outline:
Assessing your employees' skill levels**
In every company, there are training programs. These training programs are not only meant to improve/teach the desired set of skills to employees, but to also weed out the ones that can’t handle what needs to be done.
2. Determining what tasks to assign
3. Considerations for task assignments
4. The benefits of tasking employees in accordance with their skill level
5. drawbacks of not tasking employees in accordance with their skill level
