The truth is, we all have a morning routine. We all have patterns we have created in order to accomplish what we feel we need to in order to start the day. We have a combination of unconscious and conscious habits that create our whole day. How do you feel about your morning routine? Do you wake up feeling scattered with no time for yourself? Do you instantly grab your phone and realize 10 minutes later you’ve been scrolling and now feel rushed? Some of our habits belong in the subconscious such as brushing our teeth because to think about how to do that each time just doesn’t work for the average everyday busy human. But I think we can all agree that we have subconscious habits that do not serve us and take away from the experience we desire to have. This weeks episode will provide you with some ideas on how to make your mornings more mindful, intentional, and empower you to decide how you would like to live each and everyday. Your morning practice doesn’t have to be a daunting task, with only 5 minutes of intention you can receive the benefit of deciding what kind of energy you want to bring into the day. There are three categories of focus: Mind, soul (mindfulness), and body. I also dive into some practical science based tools that can help you maximize your day, and feel your best! Remember that we have a choice each and everyday, that it’s not about being perfect, but about making small sustainable movements forward into being who we are meant to be. And if you miss a day, that’s ok, we are human. Keep going.
