Sony has released a new M2L-X software-based live production switcher for both remote and in-house production, including streaming and cloud operations. The switcher offers 24 separate inputs with hybrid processing and can be controlled on public clouds from any workstation on the network. “As a key component of Sony’s Networked Live portfolio,” the announcement goes on to state, “ enables production resources to be optimally connected, used, and shared, from virtually any location.” Taking the next logical steps first established by the M2 Live system in 2022, the upgraded M2L-X system acts as a live video switcher, supporting streaming
