This is the first day of the last week of Jesus’ life. He arrives in Jerusalem fully aware of what’s in store for him. The people really had no idea what they were saying, nor did they know that in a few days they would cry out for his death. We will emphasize how easy it is to follow Jesus when the crowd is with us and how difficult it becomes when we face any opposition at all. Jesus came knowing what was ahead for him but he would not be stopped by any mere man-he would not be finished until he had accomplished the Father’s will for his life.
