We live in a world of great affluence and stuff. It's easy to become focused on making certain that our kids have these things and live a life of safety and ease filled with great fun and desire. We seem to believe that the busier our kids lives are the more important they are. Therefore, many parents spend large amounts of their time, energy and resources making certain their kids have the best that this world has to offer. If we aren't careful we raise children who believe that having great experiences and the stuff that everyone else has is what matters most. It’s easy for them to end up being ungrateful, demanding and difficult to live with. We will talk about how our role as parents is not to submerge our kids into everything in our world but rather our main role is to see them as a gift from God and lead them to understand what it means to love Him and live for Him.
