The ultimate scandal is the most difficult to believe. The Holy One of God left all that is Holy to come and pursue the most unholy ones. Jesus came as Emmanuel to seek and to save those who were lost and running from Him. He came to rescue us when we didn’t want to be rescued. He came to bring hope to the hopeless and help for the helpless. The Most Holy One came for the most unholy ones. What greater scandal could there ever be?
