MLS (Messaging Layer Security) is an upcoming IETF standard for messaging systems. In this talk, I will discuss some of the work in integrating MLS with Matrix. This will include:

Matrix's reference server implementation Synapse has a lot to keep in its database. This week in Matrix, William tells us about the State Compressor he wrote during his internship to reduce the size of Synapse's database.
