Edit: Gears of War has 5 titles in the franchise thus far. Alex mentions Gears 5 - but there is a long forgotten title between Gears 3 and 4 - namely because it is terrible (referred to as "Gears of War Judgment" - purposefully dropping the "e" also makes this a terrible title). Technically the next game will be Gears 6 - but Judgment was an intermission which most wish to forget...
