There is a certain scene in Marco Bellocchio’s Fists in the Pocket that is clearly not meant to actually be happening in the narrative, but there is no indication in the film grammar to suggest that it isn’t actually happening. That, and the fact that the timeline jumps significantly with no warning, lends to some of the interpretive issues Pat and I had with the film. Fortunately, we’ve seen enough movies now that we spend the episode comparing the meaning of Fists to other (better?) movies.
