for the nation. These psalms were sung as the people made their way up to Jerusalem, and this first psalm was a song that demonstrated their longing to return to Zion. In this psalm, we will see that the psalmist is homesick. He has spent too much time in the world, and he wants to go home. You have probably been there, too. There have been times when you have probably been homesick, geographically or spiritually.
