In this episode we continue our study of the Beatitudes.  We take a look at the idea of those who Mourn.  We learn that mourning is far more then sorrow over the loss of a loved one.  Though we do see a need for comforting even during those times of our life, Christ appears to be speaking about something far more important here.  Instead Christ is talking about the feeling we should truly have toward sin.  We often look at the idea of sin and think, "yea that's bad, it probably shouldn't be a part of my life."   Yet the Bible is very clear on the Christians real attitude toward sin, sorrow and grief.  We must see how deadly sin is in our lives.  We must come to the understanding of how much was given for us to overcome the death of sin.  Because of that knowledge we can not feel anything but sorrow and mourning for our sinful situation and the sinful situation of the world.  But that mourning causes a repentance in our lives today, and a desire to help all those around us be comforted by the salvation offered only in Christ.
