Homily given on the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year C) at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Clarendon, VA on Sunday, September 8, 2019 (6:00 pm  Mass).

Mass Readings were as follows:

• Wisdom 9:13-18b
• Psalm 90 -- "In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge."
• Philemon 9-10, 12-17
• Luke 14:25-33 -- "If anyone comes to me without hating his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple."
