Armed Forces Day – a day to honor our men and women serving in the military. #ArmedForcesDay

Armed Forces Day Thanks!I would like to thank all the men and women who are currently serving, those who has served and to those who plan to enlist and serve in the armed forces.

To all of those in the* Air Force * Army * Coast Guard * Marine Corps * Navy

Each of these branches are part of the U.S. Department of Defense and each branch that was listed had their own day and they joined all of them together to form one day. This includes the National Guard and Reserve units.

Armed Forces DayArmed Forces Day is celebrated the third Saturday in May of each year. The first Armed Forces Day was celebrated May 20, 1950. This day is very similar to Veterans Day.

We Salute our Veterans – Happy Veterans Day

Armed Forces Day is a day to honor and pay tribute to the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces. It’s celebrated on the third Saturday in May every year. The day recognizes all branches of the military: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. It’s an opportunity for the public to show appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who serve to protect the nation’s freedoms.

In 2024, this day is Saturday, May 18.

Future DatesThe next five occurrences of Armed Forces Day starting in 2025 are as follows:

  • 2025: Saturday, May 17
  • 2026: Saturday, May 16
  • 2027: Saturday, May 15
  • 2028: Saturday, May 20
  • 2029: Saturday, May 19

Armed Forces Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May to honor the men and women who serve in the United States armed forces.
