The Great Pumpkin Analogy. I want to take the time to share an analogy or a way to think about your faith in Christ and use it to compare it to Linus, a fictional character on the Peanuts, every Halloween he believes the Great Pumpkin will raise out of the pumpkin patch (It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown).
The Great Pumpkin AnalogyAdvertisements The Great Pumpkin is similar to Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. Linus tries to get the other Peanut gang to try to believe the same way he does. Linus has great faith and dedication that The Great Pumpkin will come and bring something special. Plus, Linus shows boldness by trying to share it with the rest of the Peanut gang. #GreatPumpkin
I think using Linus here is a great example of how much faith we should have in Jesus. Doing all we can to make others have faith and believe in Jesus and that Jesus is coming back for us one day. You can say that Linus here was witnessing or evangelism to his friends, he believed so much that he wanted his friends to believe too.

Same DesireWe need the same desire as we share Christ with our friends. Linus didn’t care that the his fellow peers made fun of for believing either. Remember Christ suffered persecuted too. Jesus told us that we will suffer persecution too because of Him. If He went through all He did to save us, can’t we do the same for Him and His sake?
Linus knew the Great Pumpkin would bring special things to those who are in the pumpkin patch. He cared for his friends and didn’t want to see his friends get left out. This brings us to look at if we are sharing Christ with our friends and family or are we keeping Christ to our self.

FaithJesus is the greatest relationship that anyone can have. We must have the same faith and desire to see our friends, family and all saved and have that relationship with Christ. If we don’t have the desire to see the lost saved, especially our loved and close ones, there maybe something wrong with your salvation.

The Great Pumpkin Tract by Bezeugen Tract Club & One Million Tracts (It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!)Back of Tract:In the movie “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” Linus spends every Halloween night waiting to see the Great Pumpkin. You see, Linus believes in the Great Pumpkin just like others believe in Santa Claus. He believes that this Great Pumpkin will rise from a pumpkin patch and give toys to all the children who have been good. But, there are two problems with his belief. The first is that the Great Pumpkin lives only in imagination. Linus is believing something that simply isn’t true.
The second problem is that none of us have been good. Oh sure, we sometimes think we are good when we compare ourselves to each other, but according to God’s standard (The Ten Commandments), all of us have fallen short. (it goes on using the 10 commandments and a form of the Good Person Test.)

To My PointThis brings me to the point “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. This is found in Luke 10:2. We can surely tell that a lot of people need to come to Christ. Not many people want to do the job of sharing Christ with others. That is why this verse says the laborers are few.
The ContrastNow on the contrast, Linus believed in something not real. He also believed The Great Pumpkin would bring gifts to the good kids. Linus was believing a lie. But Linus did show his faith and commitment to the Great Pumpkin. Enough that others could see it too! We must be the same so others can see our faith in Christ!
But Jesus is not a lie. He is a true & living. Jesus came, born of a virgin, died on the cross for our sins, arose the 3rd day and now sits on the right hand of God and intercedes for us, the children of God.
Where to Watch!The Great Pumpkin first aired on CBS in 1966, it wasn’t until 2006, when it aired on ABC. Now In, 2020, Apple TV+ announced you can no longer watch The Great Pumpkin, along with the Thanksgiving and Christmas Peanut’s specials on ABC anymore. You can only watch it on Apple TV+. So the Halloween special,
It will not air on t.v., only Apple TV+z

Snoopy, Peanut’s Gang no longer to be aired on ABC
It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown first aired on CBS in 1966. 2016, was the 50th Anniversary!
I Encourage YouI encourage you to put your hope in Jesus Christ and nothing else. Remember because we are not good, we all sin, Christ died for us to save us. Christ brings us the ultimate gift of all, eternal life to those who put their trust and faith in Him and Him alone.
I also encourage you be bold, be brave and share Christ with someone today. We are never promised tomorrow. Don’t let a loved one die and go to hell without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, the King of all Kings.
In Christ Alone!Put your total trust and faith in Christ alone! Be sold out! Be bold and willing to share Christ with your friends, family, coworkers and everyone you meet! Not to mention, we also don’t need to worry what others think or say about us believing and trusting in Jesus either. We just make keep great faith. Fight the good fight and keep the course too!
