World AIDs day as established by the World Health Organization (W.H.O) in 1998, is to raise awareness of the global epidemic of AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) and the spread of HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus), it is always observed on the first (1st) of December every year to facilitate the exchange of information among national, local government, international organizations, and individuals. The primary goal of world AIDs day is the distribution of information and a period where each country creates and organizes its own agenda for HIV/AIDS activities. Some countries utilize this opportunity to launch a week-long campaign and also mourn those who have died of the virus.
