In this episode of "Deeper than the Diet" a weekly conversation on the connection between emotional eating and trauma, “Food History” is the topic of conversation. Most of the time, our food choices and behaviors did not begin with us but in the environment in which we grew up. What did food availability and choices look like in your house growing up? What were some behavior patterns around food that you noticed? Which of those behavior patterns have you continued as an adult? Which have you modified? Knowing your food history helps identify where food choices, patterns and behaviors started and potentially how to stop or modify negative ones.
