Today we continue to answer the question of whether Messiah sits and rules upon the throne of David. In the previous lesson we demonstrated that the reign offf the Most High began at the creation of man and continued without interruption until the time of Samuel.

When Israel rejected the leadership of the sons of Samuel to his grief the nation asked for a king who was like all the nations around them. The thing displeased the Samuel and angered the Lord.

Yet he granted their wishes and warned them of the consequences of a human government. He stated that in so desiring a king on earth, they had rejected his Sovereign rule over them.

We also discussed the reign over David's throne would be by one who is both king and priest. Is this literal David. If so, if would require changes in the Levitical priesthood of which Moses spoke nothing concerning the tribe of Judah.
