At October's General Conference, Jeffrey Holland explained why the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints doesn't use the cross as a symbol or icon. We believe that such a devaluation of the cross as a symbol stems from a lack of emphasis upon the cross in Mormon theology and beliefs.
