We all experience periods of self-doubt, uncertainty, and even depression. For some, these feelings are fleeting, while for others, they can become a persistent struggle. Regardless of where you fall on this spectrum, it's essential to recognize that overcoming these challenges is possible and that you have the power to transform your life through self-discovery and self-acceptance.

Ayódele, is an inspiring individual who shares her journey towards self-discovery, overcoming clinical depression, and unlocking her personal potential. Through this conversation, we learn about the importance of consistency and self-belief in achieving success in self-employment, as well as the transformative power of forgiveness and acceptance.

Identifying and Accepting Personal Problems

One of the first steps towards self-discovery and overcoming personal challenges is identifying and accepting that there may be a problem. As Ayódele explains, this is a subjective and individual process. Ask yourself if the way you're showing up in your life is negatively impacting any area, and if the version of yourself you present to the world is the true version you want to be. If the answer is yes, it may be time to do some inner work and start digging deeper into understanding who you are and what you can change.

The Power of Forgiveness and Acceptance

Forgiveness is a crucial component of healing and moving forward in life. It requires acceptance of the things we've done, the ways we want to change, and the desire to show up differently for ourselves and others. As Ayódele emphasizes, diving deeply into self-discovery and getting to know yourself at a profound level is essential for making positive changes in your life.

Consistency and Self-Belief in Self-Employment

When pursuing self-employment, it's crucial to maintain consistency and believe in yourself and your abilities. As Ayódele, there is often a misconception of 'overnight success' when, in reality, achieving success can take years of hard work and dedication. Believing in your unique gifts and what you bring to the table will propel you forward and help you stay committed to your goals.

Embracing the journey of self-discovery and overcoming personal challenges, such as depression, can be transformative and empowering. By identifying and accepting the areas in which we need to improve, practicing forgiveness, and maintaining consistency and self-belief in our pursuits, we can unlock our personal potential and create a life that truly reflects who we are and what we have to offer the world.

In today's world, entrepreneurs are bombarded with advice from all directions. From podcasts and YouTube channels to business books and seminars, there is no shortage of guidance for those seeking to create their own success. However, as Wayne, a highly successful entrepreneur and marketing consultant, explains in this podcast episode, simply copying the strategies of others can lead to disappointment if not executed correctly and at the right time. Instead, Wayne shares his insights on the importance of timing and staying true to your own entrepreneurial path for ultimate success.

The Importance of Timing

One of the key takeaways from Wayne's story is the impact of timing on the entrepreneurial journey. He explains that good advice applied at the wrong time can actually be bad advice, and that understanding the right moment to implement a strategy is crucial for success.

Wayne's own journey began with leaving a corporate sales job to start a lawn and landscape company, which he grew into one of the largest in his region. However, this growth was not without its challenges and setbacks. Wayne attributes much of his success to being mindful of the timing of when he applied advice from other successful entrepreneurs and tailoring it to his own unique situation.

Authenticity in Business

Another key component of entrepreneurial success, according to Wayne, is staying true to yourself and your goals. This means resisting the temptation to simply copy the strategies of others who may be further along in their journey. Instead, focus on understanding your clients' pain points, frustrations, desires, and goals, and create a plan that aligns with your values and strengths.

One tool that Wayne recommends for this process is the "Magic Journal Exercise." This exercise involves imagining your ideal client's daily journal entry, complete with their emotional state, pain points, and desires. By understanding your clients on a deeper level, you can create more authentic and effective marketing strategies that truly resonate with them.

Distinguishing Assets from Actions

A common pitfall for many entrepreneurs is the "shiny object syndrome," or the tendency to jump from one idea to another without fully investing in any of them. Wayne suggests that one way to combat this is by distinguishing assets from actions. Instead of simply copying the actions of others, focus on building similar assets that align with your strengths and abilities.

For example, if a successful entrepreneur is using video marketing to build a loyal following, consider whether your own strengths lie in video, writing, or graphic design. By focusing on building the same type of asset in a way that aligns with your skills, you can avoid the trap of simply copying actions without understanding the true value behind them.

The key to unlocking entrepreneurial success lies in mastering the art of timing and authenticity. By being mindful of when to apply advice, staying true to your own path, and focusing on building assets that align with your strengths, you can create a thriving business that stands out from the competition.

For more insights and wisdom from Wayne, check out his marketing agency, Ugly Mug Marketing, or his book, Full Circle Marketing. And remember, the journey to entrepreneurial success is not a linear path – but with the right approach and mindset, you can achieve your goals and create the life and business you've always dreamed of.

Tony shared his insights on what it means to be an entrepreneur, the difference between a business owner and an entrepreneur, and the mindset and attitude required to succeed as an entrepreneur.

Tony Kitchens began by discussing the roles that are most important to him - being a husband and father. He then went on to explain that his passion lies in being an entrepreneur, constantly looking for ways to make improvements and take a path that others haven't taken. While being an entrepreneur may require more time and less freedom than working for someone else, Tony believes that these are positive aspects because you have the opportunity to work as much as you want toward your goals.

When faced with challenges, Tony suggests keeping your eye on your goals and dreams to make it easier to work through the difficulties. He also emphasized the importance of having a "first win" as an entrepreneur, which validates all the hard work and effort that has been put into the business.

In this article, we'll go into further detail on these strategies and how they can help you balance your day job with your side hustle.

Strategy 1: Set Clear Boundaries One of the most important strategies when balancing a day job with a side hustle is setting clear boundaries between the two. Here are some ways to do that:

  • Take advantage of any free time you have, such as lunch breaks, evenings, weekends, and holidays to work on your side hustle.
  • Make sure you have a designated workspace, whether it's a room in your house or a space at a local co-working facility.
  • Create a schedule that includes both your day job and side hustle tasks, so you know when you can work on each one.

Strategy 2: Prioritize and Plan Your Time Effectively Effective time management is key when it comes to balancing a day job and a side hustle. Here are some tips:

  • Create a to-do list that includes both your day job and side hustle tasks.
  • Prioritize your tasks by importance and deadline.
  • Use a calendar or scheduling app to keep track of your schedule.
  • Set realistic goals for yourself and track your progress.
  • Stay focused on one task at a time to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Strategy 3: Leverage Technology Technology can be a great tool for automating, outsourcing or delegating tasks when balancing a day job and a side hustle. Here are some examples:

  • Use social media scheduling tools to automate your posts and save time.
  • Consider outsourcing tasks such as accounting, social media management, or website design.
  • Use project management tools like Trello or Asana to stay organized.
  • Use a virtual assistant to handle administrative tasks.

Strategy 4: Be Flexible Being flexible is key when it comes to balancing a day job and a side hustle. Here are some tips:

  • Be prepared for changes in workload or unexpected events at work.
  • Adjust your schedule accordingly if something comes up.
  • Stay positive and keep your mindset focused on your goals.

Strategy 5: Create a Dedicated Workspace Having a dedicated workspace is important when balancing a day job and a side hustle. Here are some tips:

Angelic Marnier is the Founder of Corporate Countdown – a web based coaching system that helps 9-5 and small business women turn their expertise into revenue generating online courses. She is a Cum Laude UCLA graduate, with a BA in Mass Communications.

Born in Washington, DC, her and her Mom moved to Southern California when she was 7 and she grew up in Inglewood with dreams of making it big. Her first jobs out of college were at Fox and Disney. She quickly learned that corporate America was not a good fit for her, so she dove feet first into real estate financing. There she really was able to make her mark and got a good taste of not having a boss and making her own schedule. She was in love.

Unfortunately, when the real estate market crashed during the great recession she made the move back to corporate America, still in real estate financing. She worked her way to the top where she was dealing with the firm’s highest-echelon clients, those having $1M+ in liquid assets. While working with these types of clients every day she began to see common traits and more importantly she saw that she could get to where they were at too.

Time after time her and her co-workers would talk and dream about getting out of their desk jobs, but had no clue how. They needed a proven system they could follow and see results that would allow them to replace their income so that they could spend more time with their kids and spouses, instead of giving the best hours of their day to someone else’s dream. They wanted to have a safe transition out, so there were no major interruptions in their income…and that’s how Corporate Countdown came to be.

At Corporate Countdown we focus on showing women, how to make money online creating digital courses that they are passion about. Come join us!

In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. How to level up and build the new you. 2. The importance of having a destination and a plan. 3. How to change your attitude and tune in to what you want.

Marnye is a former executive assistant. She had lots of opportunities to create and manage every aspect of the office. After years of being behind the scenes and making others shine, she changed course and started applying those same skills to mindset and personal development. Her work is all about your results and your goals. She guides people to design a life rather than accept what happens by default; to create their own success and freedom.

Marnye was just an ordinary person living a completely mediocre life. She had 25 years of administrative and executive work and nowhere to go. She stood behind others and made them shine and picked up all of the little pieces. As the manager she developed processes and procedures to make everyday things work and received little reward. and no satisfaction. Others were accomplishing so much and and yet she remained stuck, unsure of how to begin. After spending some time sobbing at her desk and being told that she should be grateful for life that was just “good enough” she made an investment in her own personal coach and some mentoring by the amazing Bob Proctor. Fortunately, success is a system that can be learned. It takes willingness and a bit of vulnerability but it is there for anyone. Armed with a renewed belief in possibilities and support, Marnye started pursuing coaching and mentoring for others.

I was simply bored out of my mind in a job that 'good enough'. My life was just 'good enough'. I should have been content but I wasn't. I was grateful but bored and could not figure out how to make a change. 2008 the US economy took a big nosedive and I felt like I should just stay put.

Instead I hired a coach who lead me through a program of self-discovery. I bought my first home when all else was falling apart. I found a wonderful guy with whom I have been with for eleven years.

The point of it is that I found the courage to move past “good enough”. I started creating a life that I wanted to live. There have been lots of ups and downs and none dramatic. But it was the idea that “good enough” is not “good” and there is so much more to be had. I moved cross-country just for the adventure. My corporate employer let me go when I announced the move. Now, for nearly a year I have been building a lifestyle that allows me to be where I want to be and do what I want to do.

Today I work as a PGI (Proctor Gallagher Institute) consultant guiding people through the same program of self-discovery and being quite candid with them when we talk about personal specifics. That is my 'flair'. I am not a friend but the person who ask the difficult things so that people are asked to really examine their beliefs.

My learning is ongoing, and my teaching is improving. Not everyone needs a coach. People who are looking to scale personally and professionally or looking to overcome a personal challenge do. It is that thing that keeps executives climbing, politicians positive, athletes improving, and so much more.

Christian and Tamica Lloyd are Transformational Coaches

They believe everyone has the right to perfect health.

Perfect health is not only about the foods we eat, it is also about the health of your mindset, relationships, your spirituality, your movement, and your negative stress level.

These areas are even more important than what you are putting in your mouth.

One of the most important practices they touch on in their coaching business is the Attitude or Gratitude.

Gratitude is the key to releasing a negative mindset.

Gratitude can set you free from fears, from your negative self image, from self loathing and it can get you back on the path of homeostasis.

We all can have the life of our dreams and the health that is our God given birth right.

You are never too old and it’s never too late.

Christian and Tamica want to help you be the best version of you so that you can show up in the world and help others be the best version of themselves.
