Lauren is the founder of Aleafia, wellness center, and social enterprise Aleafia Wellbeing. After suffering burnout and a cancer diagnosis of stage 3C melanoma she realized it was time to have a lifestyle change and there wasn’t a physical wellness community that had everything she needed in one space. She wanted to combine all the things she needed to survive and put it under one roof, everything in the space has played a part in her own journey of recovery and has been personally tried and tested. When not overseeing the physical space, the online corporate offering and her social enterprise she is also a successful business mentor and scale-up strategist for coaches and entrepreneurs in the health and wellness space. About Aleafia: Aleafia was founded as a physical wellness center at the beginning of lockdown in March 2020. With some twists, pivots and strategic pandemic turns today it is now not only functional gym space but a yoga studio, creche, holistic treatment center and plant-based café based in North Devon. We provide an online corporate wellness platform, Aleafia On Demand which is a library of wellbeing services such as nutrition, self-massage, fitness classes, livestream access to online-classes for one-man bands to companies of 5,000. About Aleafia Wellbeing CIC (community interest company) In March 2021, we launched our social enterprise Aleafia Wellbeing to support local communities and those who don’t have access or knowledge about health and wellbeing. This offers monthly seminars and a 6-week local school youth program that covers anatomy, nutrition, movement and mindfulness. They also collaborate with local sports teams.
