A Pondering

In verses 9-13 John introduces the different responses people have to Jesus. Some people do not recognise him, and do not receive him. Others do receive him and believe in his name. What do you think it means to receive Jesus, and believe in his name?

A Prayer

Everlasting God, no one has ever seen you, and on our own we can’t figure out who you are and what you’re like. Thank you so much that Jesus came down to make you known. Thank you that he came full of grace and truth. Amen.
