EVERLASTING HOPE: Summer Programme 2024

“Therefore, havingbeen justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, throughwhom also we have access by faith into this grace inwhich we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Andnot only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowingthat tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character;and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, becausethe love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who wasgiven to us.” (Romans 5:1-5)

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.” (Psalm 42:5)

It is our desire to see our Students grow in theirrelationship with Jesus during and outside the Cultivate DiscipleshipProgramme! This summer our theme is Everlasting Hope, sourced from Romans 5:1-5and Psalm 42:5. We will be focusing on how, as believers, it is vital to placeour hope in the sure, living, and everlasting God alone.

Hope is having a confident expectation of somethinggood. As believers, we often place our hope in all the wrong places:experiences, relationships, possessions, dreams and aspirations. Over thesummer, we will look at how misplaced hope ends in disappointment and unmetexpectations, as all things suffer from a degree of brokenness and were notcreated to be the source of our hope. We aim to explore how the pressure oflife builds in us a hope that will not be disappointed enabling us to encourageour soul to hope in God; like the Psalmist did in Psalm 42. Believer, be assured of such hope as God has proved Hisintention to complete His work in us.

It was our heart that our Students left the SummerProgramme with the assurance that they can place their hope in God, in allseasons of life, being confident that our God will deliver and befaithful.
