Dr. Elisabeth Poorman is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Illinois-Chicago in Internal Medicine and Addictions. She has published articles about addiction treatment in academic journals and for National Public Radio. She also has done extensive work and publications regarding physician mental health, systemic solutions in the crisis of burnout and suicide in medicine.
