The world is growing more and more divided because people are blaming each other. God wants us to quit thinking like the world and pointing the finger, judge ourselves and take responsibility. God does not want us to think like or act like the world. The world will try every way possible to push us and pressure us into their mold. We must not conform.

Why does God do what He does? LOVE. And this the true motivation behind all that the real church does too. Loving God empowers us to love others and reflects the character of God and person of Jesus.
One of the main characteristics of the REAL church is ACTION. The world is looking for the REAL church and it looks like the “book of Acts”. There were demonstrations of God’s power as the Holy Spirit worked through the disciples. We have the gifts of the Spirit and we can expect the same thing today. Let’s be the REAL church!
One of the main characteristics of the REAL church is POWER. The church began in power because Jesus said go to Jerusalem and wait for the power. We see the church in the book of Acts walking in power and we desire to see the power of God in the church today. Where is the power?
There has always been an effort to silence the voice of God in the earth but now is the time that the real Church should rise up and say what God says! We are His voice in the earth today.

Being selfless means that I consider the eternity of others and boldly witness for Jesus. My life is not about me its about other people. I am living to reach others for Jesus. I care more about them knowing Jesus than I do about myself.

Jesus identifies with with the “least of these”; the hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick and imprisoned. He came for those who are in need and He shows us how much the Father loves every person and desires to have a relationship with them. There is no one beyond His reach and outside of His love and compassion. He calls us to reach out to the “least of these” and be a friend to them so that we can lead them to Him. The impact of kindness can affect a whole city. This is what happened when Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well. She was broken and very rude when she met Jesus but as they talked she began to change. The things He said to her and the manner that He said them opened her heart and before she left her encounter with Jesus she believed that He was indeed the Son of God. She left the well and went back to tell the whole city. Everyone in the city came out to meet Jesus and they asked Him to stay and for two days many more believed on Jesus. The kindness and goodness of the love of God has the power to change lives.

Sometimes it feels like those who are the least deserving get a shortcut or "fast pass" to God's grace. That’s just it, God’s grace is not fair. God freely gives us what we don’t deserve…that’s grace. He loves us in spite of our sinfulness. Family is what God is all about. The Bible begins with a marriage (Adam and Eve) and ends with a marriage (the marriage supper of the Lamb). In between the beginning and the end is a story of a dysfunctional family that needs help from God. Understanding family is understanding how God thinks. Who is supposed to submit to whom? How does that work? And what does it look like? Conflict is a part of every “normal” family. Conflict happens when we blame others. How we deal with and navigate through the conflict is the key. There is a war that is raging within us because we want to get our way. We want to be heard and when challenged we want to defend ourselves. To make it through conflict (alive) we must constantly put ourselves in the other person’s place and learn to see things differently. We have to admit fault and be quick to forgive. To have peace in our family, we must become a peacemaker. A peacemaker thinks, “I’ll go first…I’ll make things right by doing the right thing…"

God knows that we all live in a real world with real situations and real family problems that we have to work out. This is why He has given us His grace to bridge the gap between the real and the ideal. His ideals don’t change but HIs grace empowers us to live in the real and grow into all that He wants our families to be.

It's not about me - its about WE. So often we know who we are in Christ, but we never find out who we are in the body. This requires effort, its not automatic. We are all in the body of Christ together. We must realize that the church hurts when one of the members hurts. If one part of the body is in pain, the whole body in pain! Just like when you're hurting physically and your body must put forth effort to get better, we the church must put forth effort to get better.
The church exists because of Jesus. And the mission of the church is to build up His body to do the work of the ministry. We could say that the body of Christ is made up of people and the work of the ministry is all about serving. People constantly growing in order to serve. The New testament paints 4 pictures of the church; We are a building, We are a body, We are a flock and We are a family. Each one of these pictures are reflection of Jesus loving and serving others. God created us to be a part of something way bigger than ourselves.
