I’m Niya - the host of NiyaNoCap and I’m passionate about art and finding ways to stay involved with the community. Talking to people that are engaged in the connection of art and music. Visual artists, musicians, and other creatives are invited to talk about their background, current projects and future visions. I want to create a space for artists & art and art admirers to voice their opinions and share their stories.
The final episode highlights cool events such as the ABQ Art Walk, where locals can hang out and showcase their work. We express the importance of street-art and how it can inspire change and expression for the oppressed.
Part two takes a deeper look into what it means being a local artists in Albuquerque. We highlight the importance of our mentors and benefits of street art.
The purpose of this episode is to address the controversy of art vs vandalism. We take a deeper lookin into the history of street art and why it is beneficial to the communities that surround public art. For many, street art is a platform to express ourselves and create a sense of pride within the community. Very talented local artists join in to share their experiences with public art and how it inspires creativity throughout the community.
