Freemasonry hit it's peak in terms of membership in approximately 1950, with 500,000 members when the UK population was about 50m. This meant that 1 in 100 people (or more like 1 in 50 men) in the UK was a Mason at that time. Fast forward to the present day and we have approximately 205,000 members with the UK population at about 67m, meaning only 1 in 325 people are now Masons in the UK. So if membership is a genuine concern for the UGLE, why don't they consider the obvious? Join us as we discuss the issue.
