This isn't new news, but Rolex, Tudor, Patek, Chanel, Chopard and LVMH Group (Bvlgari, Chaumet, FRED, Hublot, Tiffany & Co. and Zenith) have decided to withdraw from Baselworld 2021. With these major brands leaving Baselworld, it potentially means the end to the worlds largest watch show. However, due to Rolex, Patek and Chopard's connection with the F.H.H. we may see a new watch show in the future through the F.H.H or the Fondation Haute Horlogerie.
The world is currently in a very strange place with the recent outbreak of the Covid-19 virus. It is affecting all economic structure in various countries with the watch market obviously included. Today we look at the possible affects Covid-19 could have on big, small, micro and independent watch brands as well as certain measures larger companies like Rolex, Tudor and Patek Philippe are taking in regards to new product releases.
