The music industry has changed dramatically in recent years, and the role of major record labels has been forever changed. Once beheld as the gatekeepers to stardom,
the rise of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music have irrevocably changed to landscape of music.
In response, labels went from being gatekeepers to talent partners, focusing on offering marketing, promotion, and distribution in exchange for a share of the artist's revenue. Artist development and the art of A&R has been all but completely abandoned.
And with the balance of power shifting towards artists, they can negotiate better deals and retain greater creative control.

It used to be that access to celebrities was virtually unobtainable which made celebrities and their lifestyles that much more enviable. You rarely knew about the behind-the-scenes struggles or chaos. Opinions abound. Was it sincere or just a bunch of hot air? Why go through all the hooplah of production when a simple phone video could've sufficed? What wisdom can be taken away from all of this?
What do you think?
We all know someone who knows someone who's big dream is to land a big recording contract or publishing deal. But on the flipside, we've all heard story after story of artists trying to get OUT of that "dream" deal. Why?
Now where as bad deals aren't necessarily done based on color, there is a peculiar phenomenon that will give you pause. It's bad enough that you can count the number of Black executives at the helm of major entertainment companies on one hand. How is it, then, there's so many Black artists then still sign bad deals under their own kind?
The first amendment to the U.S. constitution addressing the separation of church and state has been a long debated topic that is often misinterpreted.
This has caused cause often misguided and flat out incorrect implementation of several regulations and rules in our society.
There is nothing you won't do to make sure you can breathe, drink or eat. That's because oxygen, water and food are absolutely necessary for your survival. They are indispensable.

In this episode we discuss different things you can do today to make yourself absolutely necessary.
We continue our discussion with 7x Grammy nominated producer/songwriter Kendrick Dean as he talks about how he manifested the life he's living now.
More people know about LA Reid and Babyface before Darryl Simmons.
Steve Jobs’ name is more readily recognized than Steve Wozniak.
But the truth is, we wouldn’t have many of Apple’s products or some of T&B’s biggest hits if it weren’t foe Wozniak and Simmons.
Enter Kendrick “Wyldcard” Dean. Songwriter/Producer (Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, etc) and entrepreneur.
You may not know the name, but you know his work.
We sat down with the multi -talented creative as he shared his Come Up.

You would be surprised at how many Americans (Black and White alike) don't know the history behind this recently legislated national holiday. celebrating freedom from slavery. Listen to learn all about it.
You just got signed, got a bonus or came into a chunk of money. What do you do with it?
We sat with Alan Austin - CEO of GS Chain PLC, an investment company which invests in Real Estate, fin.tech, automotive and blockhain technologies related companies, and Chris Capehart - CEO of One Place Realty Consultants and Commercial and Residential Investor to discuss some financial options.

We sit down with author and founder of the entrepreneur think tank Cliffco, Cliff Oxford to discuss the power of your Circle of Influence.
When Covid hit it gave me (Stone) a chance to survey all areas of my life, and as someone who didn’t come up with a personal mentor, I realized I needed to “friend up”. My circle was loving and valuable, but it was narrow and limited.
A friend invited me to the invitation-only think tank meeting and I after some diligent vetting, I was invited to join.
It has change the trajectory of my life and exponentially added to the value of my circle, with evident benefits!
We’ve all heard that opportunity only knocks once, but it’s important that opportunity knows the address!
It’s important to do the things you need to do to be prepared when opportunity comes. But did you know that there are things you can do to actually attract the opportunity TO you?
It’s been 5 weeks since our last weekly episode and we missed you all!
But what happened? Why the break? We talk about consistency is so important (in fact it’s one of the “C”’s in Stone’s formula for success - 3(C+E).
Well, we explain everything to you and, in true LOPC fashion, share some valuable takeaways.
Whether in music, tv, film, finance or society - simply put, your credit is used to determine and acknowledge you believability. As you can imagine, this is closely related to credibility which, in most instances, is everything.
Lynn shares her insights developed from 15 years inside NBC News, MSNBC and CNN Headline News to help you navigate branding and communications challenges. She'll share how to develop, craft and communicate a compelling message as well as how to take that message to powerful platforms in media.
Love him or hate him, Kanye West‘s inspiring and provocative documentary is filled with nuggets of life lessons that the viewer not only gets to hear, but watch him live it out.
In this episode we discuss some of what Stone felt were the most impactful life lessons in this documentary.
This weeks episode is brought to you by BurnBootCamp Smyrna.
The entertainment industry is riddled with opportunities for health decline. Everything from drugs to stress to being sedentary to lack of sleep.
Without a mindset to be active and healthy, serious health conditions can creep up on you and, if not addressed, it can be too late.
"Where Bitcoin was hailed as the digital answer to currency, NFTs are now being touted as the digital answer to collectables." - BBC.com
Often times we see growth and increase as being synonymous or somewhat the same. But when you understand the subtle difference between the two, it changes everything.
It will change the way you think and it will change the way you go about doing things because it will ultimately change the criteria of your goals.
There are a lot of people who set their goals (a.k.a. "thermostat") according to the limits of their surrounding circumstances or condition.
With a literal thermostat, the whole idea is to change the circumstances and have your surroundings be dictated by the temperature that you set on the thermostat.
The same should happened with your life. We'll talk about how.
Have you ever walked into a room and felt that you didn't belong. Whether it's because you felt you weren't educated enough, rich enough, experienced enough or overall not successful enough?
Even when they have just as much credibility to be in the room, some people deal with what's called "imposter syndrome". We'll talk about what it is and how to deal with it.
Many of you are familiar with the phrase, "your net worth is determined by your network". But there is a keyword missing from that phrase. It should say: "your net worth is determined by the majority of your network".
Not only can the value of the network of people you associate with have and effect your net worth, but the value that YOU bring to the table also determines your network.

"Mistakes are often as good a teacher [or better] as success." - Jack Welch
In retrospect, Stone and Jony have been able to look on their past errors with humor, gratitude, reflection and plenty of face palms.
Listen as they share some of their worst bloopers with the core hope that you can avoid making the same ones.
From the 13th century when money took over as the primary exchange for goods and services to present day where man and machine are gradually becoming one, mankind has gone through periods of shifts that have shaped its future.
Those who succeed are those who embrace and pivot when the shift happens.
We thought it would be cool to highlight the top 10 clips of 2021. Little did we know the magnitude of such a task!
So instead of binging on 52 episodes to find what we felt was the best, most empowering or most funny, we decided to let you, the listeners and subscribers choose.
So we chose for the most downloaded episodes and episodes that received the most interaction through DM's, comments and texts.
Here they are…
Like and anchor chained to our ankles, past hurts, traumas, disappointments, etc. Have a way of stealthily holding us back from our full potential in life. They form our perspective on things that can often cause us to miss out on the true beauty and opportunity of a thing that lies before us.
It is imperative that we dig backwards to work to peel away the layers until we discover the root cause of that thing or person we never forgave and never released.
You must accept that no one cares about your business, but rather, how your business can benefit them. The sooner you do this, the better you can pitch your music, project, idea, in a compelling way.
Every year at the very top of the holiday season I watch The Wiz, starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson and others.
This year, three life lessons stood out to me in a manner like never before. They were nothing new and, quite frankly, are quite obvious. But for some reason they really stood out this year.
So in this episode I'll share those three life lessons that stood out to me and how they impacted my career.
When you understand the laws of the universe and business, you have pretty much mastered the game. Putting others needs before your own and understanding that the same will happen to you in ways you will never foresee, are how do you truly get ahead and experience the success that is for you.
"The wussification of America". This phrase which was coined by morning show personality Bert Weiss of The Bert Show has stuck in my head ever since I first heard him say it over five years ago.
From removing seesaws from the playgrounds of America because they have been deemed "too dangerous", to removing D's and F's from the grading system, to tablets and video games taking the place of outdoor activities... it seems everything that made kids tough and resilient has been replaced with coddling and cancel culture.
Our children are being tragically delivered from Everything Very Important for Life.
This time every year people often look forward to slowing down from the hussle and bussle. Friends and family begin to take priority over release dates and bottom lines.
But if you are an up and comer, the holiday respite is a the perfect time to reevaluate, reorganize and revamp.
Stone and Jony share some tips on some of the things you can do to be productive and get a bit of an edge on the competition while they feast and nap!
When it comes to achieving greatness in life, the earlier you get started the better. The path to success is wrought with challenges, obstacles, mistakes and failures. All of these things are often necessary evils of the journey and consume life's most precious resource. Time.
So when is it too late to get started if you missed the "early" train? Is it ever too late?
104.1 radio personality, Shae Love, shares her thoughts on pursuing your purpose and how she diversifies her career while simultaneously not losing focus by becoming a random "Jill of all trades".
Living your life in the public eye isn't as easy as it may look to those on the outside. Celebrities constantly have to guard what is private and strategically share what may be deemed as too personal.
Recently Jada Smith opened up about an aspect of her and Will's intimate relations that has many people are crying "Foul"! Do you think she crossed the line and wen too far? Do you think her transparency can actually help others?
Someone comes to you with an opportunity and they are asking for a referral. A good friend of yours has the experience and knowledge to potentially be a great fit. However, what you know that they don't, is that this friend could be a nightmare to them and a smear on your name because you refer them.
So what do you do? Do you stand in the way of an opportunity for a friend? Or do you look out for the business of a stranger?
One of the root causes of everything from depression to poverty to just merely existing is not feeling like you have a purpose in this life. It's not having anything to live for or accomplish.
Well, this week we discuss a pretty cool, albeit slightly morbid, hack to help overcome that feeling of empty waywardness.
Ask yourself this question: When I die, what would you like people to say about me? From my personality and character, to my life and accomplishments?
In other words, what do I want my eulogy to sound like?
Think about it. Write it out. And then go live it! Take a listen...
Stone and Jony sit down and talk with Kris Kareem Owens a.k.a. "ATL Kris", (mix engineer and live production manager for such artists as Migos, Omarion and many more) and how he's navigated the ever changing music industry and remained working and thriving.
“I’ll sleep when I die.”
“Sleep is for suckas.”
Those catch phrases may sound tough and motivating, but they’re as unrealistic (and damaging) as me or Jony winning Grammy’s Best Male Vocalists!
Truth is, not enough people in life, let alone the entertainment industry, take care of their health and we see the unfortunate results around us every day. Radio host and entrepreneur Mike Johnson joins us to discuss issues of health and entertainment and some of his hacks that keep him fit and trim.
Mase said, "I don't understand the language of people with short money."
We have a long associated "short money" to mean "no money". But that's not quite accurate. In this episode we discuss the real definition and difference between short money and long money mentality and which one you should adopt in order to set yourself up for life!
CEO. President. Executive. Owner. Boss. We love the titles because they insinuate power, authority and most importantly - leadership.
The entertainment industry puts a lot of weight on titles and labels, but wearing the label doesn't produce the character. Being in a position of authority doesn't automatically make someone a leader. "Leader" isn't a title or position, it's action and example.
Vaccinations are on the rise but not even close to the satisfaction of many government and heath officials.
As companies (entertainment and media companies alike) are beginning to adopt requiring vaccinations for employment, to work on set, and to be involved in projects in any capacity, if you are unvaccinated, what are you prepared to do?
From Mike Richards on Jeopardy to fake High School football teams, the lack of vetting and research was already destroying the internet via social media, but now it seems it has seeped its way into worlds where background checks are crucial for integrity purposes.
King Solomon once said: "there is nothing new under the sun."
No truer words have been spoken when it comes to entertainment, particularly in the area of music.
At this point in time, no music is actually created (if you are judging by the dictionary definition of "create"), but rather it is merely invented. As a music creator (Lol! See what we did there), one should not feel some type of way when borrowing sounds or styles from your musical predecessors.
But where do we draw the line between influence and mimicry? Between following a blueprint and copying the plans.
You've heard it said a million times. "Nothing happens overnight". Or, "overnight success takes ten years to achieve".
But what if you really could have success overnight? What if what we are looking for isn't so much instant success, but instant goal achievement.
You see, once you realize that the success you're defining by reaching your goal is really the sum total of an accumulation of many successes, you can then see that overnight success IS possible. From making a quality decision to getting up and working on your goal to the first little accomplishment, all qualify as successes.
And they can indeed happen overnight.
From writer's block to career dissatisfaction to the feeling of having no purpose, the common cause for each of these conundrums is often the lack of a spark. An inspiration.
Amazingly enough, we often spend so much time in search of this inspiration when we fail to realize that there is inspiration all around us happening every minute of every day. We only have to look and insert ourselves into the life that's happening all round us. From the leaf falling acrobatically from a tree, to the homeless person on the street and everything in between.
You only get one chance to make a first impression. It only takes a person 7-10 seconds for form an initial evaluation or perception of you. Everything you do from that point on is either substantiating or disproving that perception.
The decision to go to college faces millions of students and adults every year. We all know stories of higher education recipients who have gone on to change the world. We have also heard stories of amazing men and women who haven't seen the inside of a college yet have gone on to impact the world as well.
What about entertainment? Should you go to college to learn music production, engineering, film, dance, etc?
So is college truly worth the expense? Well that's what we're going to discuss.
An oak tree started as an acorn.
Google, Amazon and Apple started in garages.
J.K. Rowling was a single mother on welfare.
Sean "Diddy" Combs started as an intern.
And so on, and so on....
Stop griping about your small beginning. What makes you so special that you should "skip the line" and circumvent the process?
If you've ever enjoyed the vocal performances of Justin Timberlake, NeYo, Rihanna, Anderson Paak, Dave Matthews, and many others, then you have Raab Stevenson to thank for much of it.
Raab trains some of music's biggest stars and he sat down with Stone and Jony to discuss his come up and what it takes to be one of the most sought after vocal coaches in the country.
"One bad apple destroys the whole bunch." It's a saying we've all heard at some point in our lives. But why is that? Why does one bad apple destroy an entire bushel?
Why can't a good apple improve the whole bunch.
Unfortunately, life (and science) don't quite work that way. Listen to hear why.
As we watch America rally behind the young up-and-coming phenom, Sha'Carri Richardson - who was apparently America's best hope for Olympic gold in the women's 100 meters - who is at fault?
Does the blame lie solely on outdated controlled substance rules and testing by the World Anti-Doping Agency? Does the blame lie on Sha'Carri not adhering to those rules regardless of the circumstances that influenced her decision?
Let's discuss. And we want to hear from you, ur listeners!
How many of us know someone who has climbed the ladder of success in their career and seem to be killing it in life?
What about the ones who's social media feed shows them reaping the rewards of hard work, good choices and success?
But then you get a glimpse on the inside only to find they have a dysfunctional home life, immoral business practices, time management issues, etc.
Everyone's definition of success is different, but so many people have are more successful at doing than they are at being.
This week we sat down with the talented and witty multi-Grammy award winning songwriter and recording artist, Johnta Austin.
Most recently known for his massively popular Versus battle with fellow songwriter/artist, Neyo - Johnta has penned hits for such superstars as Mariah Carey ("We Belong Together, "Shake It Off"), Aaliyah ("Miss You"), Chris Brown ("With You"), and many more.
In a recent issue of Billboard (06/7/21), an open letter signed by the Who's Who in the music industry was sent to the senators of the United States in regards to gun violence and gun control.
Where this sounds good on the surface, Stone and Jony discuss the paradox of an industry that makes millions on the glorification of gun violence ,yet at the same time, wants to raise their voice to squelch it through Washington.
When it comes time to act or execute on your dream, goal or even your affirmations, how will you perform?
What you rehearse, practice or work on is only put to the test and validated when the lights come on and the curtain goes up.
Your readiness to level up or change is only proven when the challenge and temptation comes.
Over one year, 86 episodes, 4,600 downloads and one pandemic later, Stone and Jony share updates on what's been happening in life outside of Life on Podcast (is there such a thing?)
Designers do it all the time. Creating cool chandeliers from old bottles, a fish tank from an old tv. And who can remember using milk crates as basketball "hoops" back in the day? Classic!
Well why not do it with your content? Just because you posted a photo or released a song once means it was heard by everyone.
In this episode we talk about the often underused art of repurposing.
The golden age of Hollywood is considered to be from the 1910s - 1960s, while the golden age of music is considered to be 1960s - 1990s.
There are several thoughts on why this may be, but overall what it comes down to is, the more accessible "the entertainment industry" has become to the masses, the more it lost its dreamlike appeal.
To some, that may look like "death". But is it?
Saying things like, "I'll sleep when I die." may sound badass but is more like bad judgment.
When you don't effectively balance grind and sleep neither become productive and you end up going nowhere... and being there sick and tired.
Sometimes the enemy to reaching your goals isn't doing what is bad, but doing what is good! See, just because something is good, doesn't mean that it's right. But it's actually a sneaky distraction because it FEELs right.
What would you do if the success you’ve always dreamed about fell into your lap right now at this moment.
Before you answer that question, you may want to take a listen first.
Kolby LaMarche was elected as Burlington, Vermont's Republican Party Char in January 2019, at the ripe young age of 17, which (he believes) made him youngest state party chair in the history of VT.
However, after 2 years, LaMarche grew disenchanted with the divisive politics his beloved party continued to promote.
Take a listen to our conversation with the young potential political rising star.
No man is an island. No celebrity, influencer or successful business person can survive without their fans, clients and customers. Their base.
From recording artists to politicians, your base is your lifeblood, and how you connect with them is the difference between being here to stay and being gone tomorrow.
It isn't as difficult (or special, if you ask me) to become a celebrity nowadays.
The internet has put the world at virtually everyone's fingertips. All you have to do is do something really ingenious, really stupid, really shocking or really talented that appeals to 1 million or more people and... BOOM! You're a viral hit.
Do it two or more times and... BSM! You're a celebrity.
Without the vital filter or vetting of time and patience anymore, how much accountability and responsibility do you think celebrities should own?
Or do you think it isn't their concern to be accountable or responsible to society with their content or creations?
A famous saying that was originally meant as a compliment is now more known as a warning.
But is being a Jack of All Trades totally a bad thing?
Stone and Jony discuss the pros and cons of this popular quote.
The oxymoron of it all is, whereas wisdom comes from experience, ironically that experience comes from a certain lack of wisdom.
But if experience is the best teacher, then wisdom is the cheat sheet passed along by those who have lived before you.
We sit down with NY native, Atlanta transplant rapper Delgado Hit Lotto to discuss his journey into music and how he his work ethic has him outpacing many of his peers.
No matter what it is we do, it starts with a decision. A choice. But sometimes making that choice is one of the most difficult things we've ever done because so many times we have what we see with our eyes battling with what we think in our heads, which in turn is battling with what we feel in our hearts.
So how do we go about making that choice?
"Control, now I've got a lot. Control, to get what I want. Control, never gonna stop. Control, now I'm all grown up."
Empowering lyrics by the incomparable Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, performed by the iconic Janet Jackson.
But what happens when things are beyond your control? How do you handle that? What do you do?
Let's talk about it...
Not many people want to see the demise of a relationship, but they do happen. The important thing is what we can take away from them and even high profile divorces like Kim and Kanye have have hidden lessons to be learned.
It seems with each new generation such core principles such as patience, commitment, initiative etc. take more and more of a backseat. Is it because technology has made things so convenient and instantaneous?
Jony and Stone discuss whether those core values are truly lost on Generation Z (iGen) or not?
After the big game, we talk about what we expected and what we received. Jony is a HUGE Tom Brady fan and he breaks down in detail why and what his legacy is as the greatest quarterback ever. Stone also has something major on his chest and really needs to know "what's wrong with everyone being treated equally?"
The amazingly gifted S.A.W joins us and breaks down the stories behind some of her most well known art pieces in Atlanta including her mural of Sandra Bland, custom pieces for Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and voting rights activist Stacey Abrams, and Hip Hop Legend T.I. S.A.W. also pulls back the curtain on her story behind why she's so connected to her art and what drives her.
After an interesting 2020 and an equally interesting start to 2021, we felt it necessary to share this conversation live for a little real time interaction on everything from the newly inaugurated President Joe Biden, some of President Biden's initial Executive Orders, Social Media censorship (of the former President in particular), and more.
We had the pleasure of sitting down with singer, actress, and film producer Noree Victoria. She shares her journey through entertainment and how she utilizes her platform to make an impact on other people’s lives and the world.
When USCP Officer Eugene Goodman dressed for work the morning of January 6, 2021, he had no idea he would be confronted with the manifestation of a country on the brink of a coup, fueled and encouraged by its incumbent but outgoing President.
There are many people out there who are hustling and grinding and “putting in work”, but not as many of them are very productive.
COVID-19 and the election has offered two options. Option 1: negative ripple effects from illnesses, job loss, loneliness, etc. Or...
Option 2: self improvement, invention and reinvention, entrepreneurship, etc.
it’s up to you what the output will be.
The process and path that you keep trying to skip contains the very lessons, knowledge and training that you need to not only get you there, but KEEP you there.
To be alone is a physical state where being lonely is an emotional state. Your perception of both is dictated by your perspective of both.
To be alone doesn’t always have to result in being lonely. Understanding how to view the differences can mean everything.
Maya Angelou said, "At the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.” When we are listening through our emotions, we're actually not listening but hearing.
We would all love to make a living doing what we love, and some are fortunate enough to do just that. But what happens when your desires don't intersect with your abilities or even with opportunities? What do you do? The good news is, there is something you consider doing to that will help achieve eventually doing what you love.
A great man once said: "For which of you, desiring to build a [career], does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has [started] and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish."
There was a time when things of quality to took time to make. Whether it be a delicious dessert, a beautiful home or even a song. The same was true for new artists. It took time to develop a singer into an ARTIST.
Stone and Jony discuss how those days are all but gone now.
It's a well known fact that the entertainment industry can be a cut throat and greedy industry. Oftentimes the saying "nice guys finish last" seems to be the truth of the day.
So the question often remains... is it really possible to be fair and still achieve success in the entertainment industry?
Let's talk about it.
It almost sounds cliché at this point to say that this has been an unprecedented past 4 years topped off with an election like none other in U.S. history.
Stone and Jony share their reactions to the 2020 election results.
Listen and see how their thoughts compare to yours and leave a comment to share your feedback.
Your reputation is what people think or say about you when you're not in the room. It's also known as your "brand".
There's no such thing of having no reputation. Everyday we build upon our reputation with every word we speak and action we take.
Take a listen.
Coke bottles, roads, tests, and yes.... women. These are the curves most people don't mind, if not love.
But when it comes to growth and self-improvement, curves are no bueno. So many people cut themselves a break or grade themselves on a curve when times get rough or reaching their potential seems daunting if not impossible.
In this episode, we discuss the pet peeves you, our listeners, shared with us.
Some of you need a hug!
Noisy eaters. Slow drivers. Mispronunciations. The word 'moist".
We all have them. Some are petty, some are legit. Those things that irritate us like nails on a chalk board.
We're sharing our Pet Peeves this week on Life on Podcast.
HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY LIFE ON PODCAST!
LOPC is is one year old today! Thank you all for listening, subscribing, sharing and engaging. This has been a blast and we look forward to bringing you more insight, information and good conversation.
In this episode we discuss what it takes to truly make a change in your life. Enjoy!
"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
- Professor Max Planck, recipient of the 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics.
From Prince and Michael Jackson, to TLC and Kanye West. More and more artists have become vocal about being trapped in their recording and/or publishing deals.
But are the record labels and publishing companies the bad guys? Are they the only ones at fault? Let's discuss...
It's hard to make a difference shown when you don't make your presence known. Often times the most difficult part of any task is getting started. It's showing up. But that's where 80% of success lies. This episode of Life on Podcast is all about encouraging and motivating you to show up!
You've heard so many cliché quotes about the person looking back at you in the mirror:
That person is your only competition. That person is enemy number one. You owe it to that person to be your best. And so on, and so on.
But what if you don't truly know who that person really is? That's what we're going to discuss today, on this episode of Life on Podcast.
Most of the people you know who are successful became so on purpose. They set a goal on purpose. They pursued it on purpose. They sacrificed on purpose. And when they ran into obstacles, they overcame them… on purpose.
We hope this episode inspires you to define what success means to you and then go after it!
Since January of this year the entertainment industry has been forced to endure profit losses and unconventional means of getting the job done. Many have been furloughed or flat out lost their jobs. We have been forced to reinvent ourselves and find new ways to secure our livelihood.
Now, nine months in, where do we stand?
Jony pointed out a beautiful coincidence in the fact that our 45th episode is about Stone's one-man social experiment aimed at understanding our 45th president and his supporters.
Over the course of 15 days Stone immersed himself into a "Pro-Trump" world In which he intentionally drank the Kool-Aid and swallowed the hype.
In the end he and came away with 3 big takeaways (hey look at that, 3×15 = 45!)
What do you think?
The spirited discussion continues with our guests Shelley Wynter, host of "The Show" on 95.5.FM WSB (Atlanta), and Dan Novatnak is the host of the "One Man Revolution" podcast and a well liked professor at the University of Central Florida.
Can they find anything to agree on regarding President Trump? There's only one way to find out!
Shelley Wynter, host of "The Show" on 95.5.FM WSB (Atlanta), and Dan Novatnak is the host of the "One Man Revolution" podcast and a well liked professor at the University of Central Florida.
Shelley is a Trump supporter. Dan is quite the opposite. And we invited them join a spirited conversation founded on 3 basic questions:
1) Why do people like Trump so much?
2) Why do people dislike Trump so much?
3) Would Joe Biden be a better or worse replacement?
As a recent nominee of the HBO Director to Watch Award, Director Rob Hardy has navigated his way to become a sought after director in Hollywood who has worked on such projects as: How To Get Away With Murder, Power, Vampire Diaries, and much, much more.
Rob sat down with Stone and Jony to share 5 life lessons (and more) he's learned along his journey.
In sitting down with highly revered data and privacy executive, Michelle Finneran-Dennedy, you would think it’s a no brainer about what the topic of conversation will be.
Whereas you’d be partially correct, given the personality of these three characters, you can bet the conversation parlayed into a variety of aspects.
All while enlightening and having fun, of course!
We asked you, our listeners and subscribers, "What is the one thing you need advice on the most?"
Well, we're happy to say that we received quite a few responses! We truly hope we were able to help, and at the very least, provide some clarity or alternate perspective.
“Everyone” wants to be the lead singer, the President/CEO, the front person. The face in the spotlight. But little do we deeply consider the responsibilty or even consequences that come from being the frontman/woman.
Are you waiting for someone to put you on? Are you waiting for someone to get you out of a situation? Are you waiting for another stimulus check? No one is coming to save you. You have all of the tools and resources necessary to, at the very least, get started on saving yourself!
Being Pro-Black is NOT synonymous with being anti-white. However, where is the line that differs between being pro-black and appearing racially biased? Shayne Walsey, CEO of Urban Enterprises in Atlanta joins us in this intriguing discussion.

In super simple layman's terms, when the human body experiences an anitgen the immune system creates antibodies to fight it. The immune system then remembers that antigen in case it attacks again. But this time the body is ready to defend against it before it can do anything.
We often have to first encounter that which is unpleasant in order to develop what is necessary to go to the next level and be prepared for the challenges and unpleasantries of that new level.
Listen to Stone and Jony discuss how to develop antibodies for your success.
No matter how talented you are or how much you know, everything changes when you experience that moment when "the light" goes off. When that revelation or epiphany hits you. When you have that moment of Eureka!
It's at that moment when you go to the next level.
So many sticky topics are on so many conversation tables right now. The Confederate flag and monuments, Equity vs. Equality, police brutality, the 2020 election, etc. The list goes on. It's truly been a flammable year to say the least.
As always, please take a second to like, comment and even shoot us your thoughts at lifeonpodcast@gmail.com
Jony and Stone continue to discuss racism, protesting, riots and racism in America.
Is rioting and looting necessary? Are peaceful protests effective?
We want to state immediately fro the top and ensure our listeners that Jony and Stone are OK. We are not upset with one another and are on great terms! Lol!
Now, with that being said… listen and comment at will. :)
Thank you for listening. Be the change you want to see.
Whether it's practice, rehearsal, working out, dieting or taking that first step on a new business idea, we all come across things we need to do that we are simply not motivated or too fearful to do.
We're gonna help show you how to break through the wall and get things done!
Three of the most important things we need to thrive in this world are:
1) Oxygen
2) Water and
3) Money
So with money being so high on the list of necessary things, what role does it lay in your life?
What is your relationship with money?
Goals. Those without them are simply surviving, taking whatever life dishes out to them. Setting goals give our life a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Typically our goals line up with our dreams, interests and talents, but how far and high should we set them?
Should we shoot for the moon or play it more safe and practical?
That's we we will discuss in this episode.
Stocks are down. Theaters are closed. Live events are cancelled. The entertainment industry as a whole has come to a screeching halt. So what's next?
What happens as we slowly find our way back to normal and what will "normal" look like?
Do you need a team to help run and navigate your career? Are you sure?
Well if it's truly that time, we discuss some key things for you to think about when putting your team together.
What is a soulmate? Is it love? Friendship? Just having a lot in common?
We discuss - (at least we TRY to thanks to this covi-internet acting funky! Sorry about that) - some very interesting things for you to think about.
Karen Ross, author of the book “Chianti Souls”, wrote: “Our souls already know each other, don’t they?’ he whispered. ‘It’s our bodies that are new.”
Orphan (Greek: orphanos) "bereaved" - be deprived of a loved one through a profound absence.
Nurture - care for and encourage the growth or development of someone or something
There are so many people who give birth to amazing ideas but never do anything with them. They are orphaned. It's time to nurture and raise that orphaned idea!
So often we hear the term "the power of music" and only scratch the surface of the full meaning of what we're saying.
The "power" of music isn't just an ideal or some heart warming concept, it is a very practical, scientific and measurable capacity.
So just when you thought you were just trying to write a "hit" song, you actually have the ability to impact humans' very existence.
Episode 24 finds Jony and I broadcasting to you from our respective homes as we find ourselves in the first full week of a nation-wide, voluntary self-quarantine event.
The current worldwide coronavirus outbreak, however, will not keep us from delivering another insightful, informative and mildly funny episode to our listening fans and subscribers.
This week we discuss recognizing opportunities in otherwise unrecognizable situations and taking advantage of them.
The maxim "if you stay ready you don't have to get ready" is very well known by most of us, but do you limit it to the areas of work, talent, education and learning like many people do?
In this episode Stone and Jony discuss how attitude plays a huge role in staying ready and being able to attract and take advantage of opportunity.
In episode 22 we continue our conversation about music publishing and discuss different types of publishing deals and what they entail.
Listen to this BEFORE you sign anything!
In episode 10 we discussed ownership. In entertainment that means copyright. In the music business, that means MUSIC PUBLISHING (ok, and copyright).
It's where all the money is in music, but it's one of the least understood areas of the music business.

"The Mamba Mentality is to be on a constant quest to try to be the best version of yourself. It's not a finite thing. It's a constant quest to try to be better today than you were yesterday and better tomorrow than you were the day before.” - Kobe Bryant
Many of us are willing to sit down and count the cost, which is great. But not as many are then willing to pay the price.
It’s no secret that it takes extraordinary efforts to be successful (depending on your definition of success) or be great. In this episode, we look deeper into exactly what’s really involved in achieving a high level success.
After 17 episodes, we're thrilled to have over 500 listeners. This means 490 of you don't really know who Stone and Jony are!
In this, episode 18, we take a moment to share our stories and how we found ourselves here today.
Take a listen and join us on the journey. :-)
So often we answer the question "Who are you?" with our identity or our occupation.
We tend to see ourselves, not as we are or even as others see us. We tend to see ourselves as we desire for others to see us.
Let's dig in....
It has enabled us to connect with one another in ways like never before, yet, social media has also played a role in such serious issues as bullying, depression and self-esteem.
Let's talk about it...
Stone and Jony welcome branding specialist Yaz Franco to discuss the facts and myths about branding.
Tune in to discover the fact that, whether you are in entertainment or not, you are brand. How do you mange that? Take a listen.
What gets you up in the morning when you’re too tired to get up? What keeps you going when you want to give up and throw in the towel? What connects you to your dream or goal?
Once you figure that out, what’s the plan or roadmap to get there? We share our thoughts on it all. Let’s Go!
Benjamin Franklin once said, "Well done is better than well said."
At the end of the day people will always trust and value your actions more than your words, because your reputation is determined moreso by how you walk than how much you talk.
Stone and Jony offer some helpful insight and tips on being a person of execution rather than excuses.
There are two sides to every communication - the sender, and the receiver. Both sides are crucial for effective communication.
We discuss the different phases involved in mastering the art of communication.
Have you ever felt like you're forcing a situation to happen? Do you ever feel like you're busy but not productive? There's movement but it's lateral and not forward or up?
Stone and Jony share some things you can use to help consider whether or not it's time to throw in the towel or keep persevering.
The borrower is slave to the lender. From copyright and to real estate, to business and emotions, the owner is in the pilot seat, sets the rules and is ultimately in control.
There is an actual algebraic formula you can follow to succeed in ANY area of your life. The formula is 3CE.
We won't break it down here in the description so you can cheat and just read it. Press PLAY and listen!
In everything in life, from a career in entertainment to actual life itself, there are a series of steps, processes and actions that must take place in order to achieve a desired end or result.
The sooner you except that fact, the more focused you can become. And the sooner you fall in love with that fact, the happier you can be.
They choke the nutrients and essentials from the desired plants in your yard and they can do the same in your life if you're not careful.
Not every weed looks or feels like a weed so beware!
Over 90% of all artists go undiscovered. Less than 10% of all signed artists make it big. But even with those humbling (if not down right disheartening) stats, Stone was still able to walk away from an unknown artist career with some valuable lessons.
I believe that creatives and entertainers, if even for a moment, hold the hearts and minds of mankind in their hands.
If you’re not completely selfish and self absorbed, there is an inherent responsibility and accountability that comes with that.
No man is an island and we are ALL a connected community. So, whether you're a recording artist, songwriter, producer, dancer, actor, or someone not even in entertainment... someone, somewhere is depending on you being the best version of you you can be.
People are often convinced they want their dreams and goals badly enough, but more often enough than not, they want the extraordinary while continuing to do the ordinary. They want to be amongst the elite but are unwilling to do what the elite do.
