Prayer is the foundation for the principle of “Heaven with you.” When we pray, we are in the presence of God. Prayer is worship. It brings heaven down.
Baptism is a public declaration of your commitment to follow Jesus. It is not just a symbol of what happened; it is a statement of the direction you are heading.
When you become a Christian, a change happens; you receive a new identity. God offers his peace and power, but sometimes our security in that identity eludes us, especially when one of our desires doesn’t align with God’s best for us.
This week, we’re going to examine God’s plan for sex and talk about how we can experience full life by living within that plan.
The goal of a covenant marriage is to glorify God in your relationship and to exemplify Christ to the world.
Our habits determine the creature we will become. We often think about breaking bad habits, but it’s just as important to develop good habits. This week, we will focus on prayer.
Your habits can predict the kind of “creature” you will become. Based on your present habits, what kind of person do you think you could expect to be?
• Happiness is cosmetic; it is on the outside. Joy is character; it is on the inside. • Happiness meets surface needs. Joy meets your deepest needs. • Happiness is like a thermometer, registering conditions. Joy is the thermostat that controls the conditions. • Happiness evaporates in a crisis. Joy intensifies in a crisis
Having less of what doesn't matter means we can experience more of what does matter. Heather shares three things we can do to get to this: cut back, clear out, pay off.
