So I was having a conversation with someone about their “situationship” but because we are all adults I gotta keep it real and call it what it is……STRAIGHT FOOLISHNESS!!! Since when did it become ok to love someone on the low? Why are we, as a society, so ashamed to display the value someone brings into our lives?
I definitely need someone to help me understand this concept so please check out what I have to say and message me your thoughts!! Please feel free to check me out on Instagram with your thoughts.

Y’all, that lil old Haitian Lady that lives in my head came out in this one. I literally had a dream and it brought me to today’s topic.
Domestic Violence is something that we see so much on reality TV that it is almost normalized BUT did you know that in the U.S., on average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner. Did you know that approximately 1 in 5 female victims and 1 in 20 male victims need medical care. How about that from 2016 through 2018 the number of intimate partner violence victimizations in the United States increased 42%.
How often do you see a video of couples fighting and it turns physical? How often do we see couples arguing and it turns physical? How often do you think to “mind your business”?
Domestic violence is prevalent in every community, and affects all people regardless of age, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, or nationality. Physical violence is often accompanied by emotionally abusive and controlling behavior as part of a much larger, systematic pattern of dominance and control.
If you, or anyone you know, are in crisis, PLEASE contact The National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or www.TheHotline.org

When we hear the term “love language” we instantly think relationships and romance. The five love languages are: words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time and physical touch.
It’s common to have more than one love language, I have two (y’all know I’m ALWAYS EXTRA): quality time and physical touch. Knowing this has allowed me to LOVE ON ME CORRECTLY. I make sure to cut out Shou Time and enjoy a nice cup of tea every morning.
Do you know your love language? How much energy do you put into loving YOURSELF correctly? Let me know in the comments.

Everybody got a BREAKING POINT but why do we allow ourselves to get to that point in order to remove the toxin? We do we feel the need to hold onto toxic relationships? Why do we feel the need to provide the solution to EVERY issue whether it’s ours or not?
Have you ever had to cut someone off and it actually felt GOOD? Lemme know what you think in the comments.

Shoutout to @sofenomenal for her post last week about ”friendship” because it planted this week’s topic into my mind. From Aristotle to Fena, I define friendship through my experiences and my challenges. Shoutout to EVERYONE that has played a role in defining friendship and helping me distinguish between the three types: Friendship of Pleasure, Friendship of Utility and Friendship of the Good
For the record, I AM NOT A FRIENDSHIP EXPERT (I struggle making and keeping them, lol!!! I am just speaking from my experiences and observations so check me out and let me know what you think. Make sure to comment below.

Listen ya’ll this week’s topic is one I’m still learning to deal with; still learning to understand; but most importantly still battling.
Codependency is defined as excessive emotional or psychological reliance on a partner, typically one who requires support on account of an illness or addiction.
I saw it growing up and lived it most of my life. I have been on BOTH ends of a codependent relationship and I can tell you that the battle is never completely over.
Check out my story and let me know what you think in the comments.

I grew up in a STRICT Haitian Catholic household where Sundays were dedicated to God and God only. We woke up, got dressed and went to church (for HOURS)
As I got older, I started to lean away from the church for MANY reason but never because I stopped believing.
I have recently started going back and want to chat about what took me away from the church and why I came back.
Were you forced to go to church as a child? Did you uphold that tradition in your adult life? Where do you stand when it comes of religion?
LET’S TALK! Let me know in the comments.

Do you know how to listen to your body? Do you actually take the time to understand the signals your body gives?
At a very young age, we’re taught that how we look is more important than how we feel.
“Matters of the soul soon become matters of the body”

Self-Awareness is defined as conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires.
Check me out as I discuss my theory based on Erikson Stages of Psychosocial Development. Specifically Stages 4 & 5 and the role they play in self-awareness. Trust me when I say, I know this road VERY WELL and still find myself navigating through it but it's called a journey for a reason.
