Have you ever noticed how thoughts can feel like an impenetrable wall? They often come with a force that can halt us right in our tracks. And yet, thoughts also hold the potential to be the wings that help us soar to new heights. They're a double-edged sword. It's the paradox of the mind.
Our thoughts are a potent tool, and when used effectively, they can guide us to make wise decisions, enhance our emotional intelligence, and manifest a life and business filled with success and fulfillment. Remember, you are not a product of your thoughts; your thoughts are a product of you. Let them guide you, not stop you.
Until our next episode, remember to let your thoughts be your wings, not your weights. Keep moving, keep soaring, and keep achieving.

Have you ever felt the rush of momentum propelling you towards your goals and dreams? 🤔 It's that feeling of being unstoppable, full of energy and drive. We all have felt it at some point! But do you know how to unlick that unstoppable power of forward momentum? 💪
Have you ever felt so passionate about achieving something that you were willing to do it for free? This is what forward momentum feels like. It's the force that propels us toward our goals and powers our achievement, success, and growth. But unfortunately, it is a tool we have in our toolbox but often overlook.
Episode 80 will delve into the power of forward momentum in our lives and how it is often underutilized. I'll talk about how failure can provide wisdom and opportunities for growth, how forward momentum is a process of consistently taking action toward our goals, and how small wins can lead to significant victories.
Key takeaways:
💥 Set Micro Goals: Instead of just focusing on big goals, try breaking them down into smaller, more manageable goals. This way, you can monitor your progress more easily and celebrate small victories along the way. 🎉
💥 Embrace Failure: Failure isn't the end, it's just the beginning of a new opportunity. Learn from your failures, make adjustments, and keep moving forward. 🔄
💥 Believe in Yourself: You are capable of achieving greatness! Your belief in yourself is what will keep you going, even in the face of adversity. 👊

On this episode of Be Fabbo Podcast - Business + Personal Growth for Creative Entrepreneurs, Bobbi explores staying close to people who want more for you, not from you. In this solo episode, Bobbi invites us to look at how creative business owners often find themselves surrounded by people who hinder their progress by only taking from them instead of being supportive. Of course, having a network of people who believe in your vision and offer advice is crucial, not just using you for their connections or resources. But, as Bobbi reminds us, our stories are far from finished, and surrounding ourselves with people who empower us can unlock our full potential.
The people we surround ourselves with can significantly impact our business's success and personal growth. Therefore, it's vital to prioritize relationships with people who genuinely want to see us succeed, who believe in our vision, and who offer valuable advice toward achieving our goals. In addition, these people provide encouragement and support without expecting to receive something in return.
Remember, as you continue to build your business and pursue your creative passions, surround yourself with people who want more for you, not from you. Seek mentors, collaborate with like-minded colleagues, and never underestimate the power of a supportive community. With the right people by your side, there's no limit to what you can achieve.

**Key Takeaways:
I do believe friends, I do believe with all my heart, that your mindset and how you feel about yourself and how you talk about yourself matters.
Today on episode 75... prioritizing your mind and your energy. And this episode is really all about empowering yourself and taking control of your mind and your energy.
Another key to empowering yourself is taking control of your energy. And that means being intentional about how you spend your time, where you put your attention and the mental and physical resources that you use. How empowering is it when you sit intently and just sit? And sometimes friends, when we don't have the answer to something, and we just can't seem to figure out why something isn't working. We just need to sit with it.
A strategy that can help you do this is to set those clear goals, for your work for your relationship for your personal lives, and then prioritize the activities and the task around those goals.
Don't dwell on your weaknesses, know your weaknesses, embrace your weaknesses, but overall, and embrace what makes you fabbo. So that you can find a way for them to contribute to the world in the most meaningful way. Because we need you, not just our industry, not just your local wedding community, your creative community, our community, whatever community you're in, more than your family, the world needs you. We need your gifts. And you can really, really share.
Remember, the key is to be mindful, intentional and persistent in your approach and believe in your own potential and the positive impact that you're making. Alright, until next time, friends, continue to be Babel. Stay positive, stay focused, stay empowered. I believe in you believe in yourself.
Alright, that's what I want you to take away from Episode 75 today. And as a simple reminder, if you need help, if you are struggling, I am here to empower you, my friends. Let's sit down let's get a fabbo chat. Think of it as me being a coach in your back pocket. But come to**

Essential Takeaways:
0:00 Goals, vision boards, whiteboards, boxes of journals, blueprints, all the visions and plans that you have for your business and your life. Oh, trust me, I'm sure they're all amazing. But did you know that there's an easier way to achieve all these thoughts and ideas that you write down? Now, if you've followed the podcast for any length of time, you know, I'm all about mindset that I believe mindset is a strategy. And that with the right mindset, you can achieve anything that you set out to do.
3:36 I want to share three steps with you to help you become more efficient, be more effective in turning your thoughts into actions, all those things that you have running around all those ideas, positive ones and negative ones, how to turn these thoughts into actions.
6:14 Getting these thoughts out of your mind and done on paper, will help you find the right place to start, right and how to turn these thoughts that you have into action, because you can now break them down into smaller, more manageable steps that you can start implementing and seeing some instant gratification.
7:20 I'm all about you know, future planning. But I also don't want you to think about the things in the past, right? I want you to put your energy, where you can adjust your thoughts and your plans to the present. Because when you do that, you'll actually move closer, faster to achieving your overall bigger goals.
9:15 I mean, heck, My motto is to always be more, be more adventurous, you know, do more, you know be be more of whatever you want to work on that living in that zone---have more and be more sometimes falls in that overthinking zone because you're constantly wondering, Will this be enough?
10:49 Once you complete these first few steps, you might find that you still have trouble turning your thoughts into an action. So let's see if we can determine what's stopping you. No fear, no distraction, it's time to shift that mindset and remove these limiting beliefs. There is no better time than the present to start reframing and rethinking your thoughts.
13:30 Sometimes we work so hard in our future. And we get we want to get somewhere so fast, and we get there. And we're disappointed. So I want you to hone in on what you're working on right now. Because you might just have a new vision, you might just find out that when you write all these things down, it can be a new, a new vision for a new business. Maybe it's a new product that you want to offer. Maybe it's something else when you look at this list that you can get excited about. And as I mentioned staying present with your thoughts, and meeting them where you are. Remember, you are right where you're supposed to be and you're doing fabbo at that.
16:20 You'll be amazed how much more you can accomplish if you just do what you say you're going to do. Rather than getting stuck in a thought loop or overwhelming or overthinking or the I can't stay out of that negative space.

The Essential Takeaways:5:43 the reason that I really believe that Instagram has resonated so much specifically with couples is it gives them the opportunity to get to know you on a visual level first, because obviously, weddings are a very esthetic medium, you know, people don't come to weddings and just say, Oh, I'm just here for the food anymore. You know, they're coming for an experience, they're coming, because they want to feel something like they're looking for an emotion, they're looking for a feeling, they're looking for something beautifully created. And weddings are really all of those things for people. So when they come to Instagram, they get, they get to start to imagine their life with their partner in this space that you have created, or this experience that you're creating. 7:50 That's part of the problem is that because we have kind of disconnected a couple, we've disconnected from that experience and don't necessarily know how to share that experience. And then I think also, again, like people just feel like, Oh, I'm not a good writer or I'm not a writer, I don't know what to say, I don't know how to say it. Do people even care are they even reading because Instagram is such a scrolling medium, people automatically assume well, no one's reading my captions. But that's really not the case. They are reading them, they are connecting with them.
11:41 And then do you always want to have a call to action when you're doing this on your Instagram captions?

The Essential Takeaways:
0:20 This is week three of our five week series on mindset where we've been taking you from a fixed mindset, to a growth mindset. And we've been working on that narrative, that mind set shift. So instead of saying, why can't I, why can't I, let's figure out how to change that narrative.
1:03:30 What do you want for yourself? What do you want to see? Where do you want to go? Who do we want you to be? That means be more, be curious, be inquisitive. But above all, be intentional.
1:08 I'm excited for all of you. Because what we have put together in this five week series is transformational, if you will allow it.

The Essential Takeaways:
2:23 Because you my friends are meant to do this. And you're meant for more. We want to help you build a life in a business that you're proud of. And you deserve. Lean into your season. That's what we're talking about today.
5:26 Hope you're looking forward to like digging in and actually putting this information to work for not only your business, but your life as well. Just wanted to say, the three of us up here, we've put together some amazing content. And yes, I'm biased. Because talking with Bobbi and doing what Jenny and I do, we know this stuff works if you're willing to put forth the work.
53:22 I always say we're so busy chasing revenue, but we don't look for the profit. We're chasing revenue, but we're not creating profit.
1:36:36 So you're not alone. Because at the end of the day, we just want you all to be the best versions that you can be not only for our sake, not only for your bank account sake, but for the gift you have to give to others.

The Essential Takeaways:
4:45 Mindset is basically the the foundation to what's gonna keep you going.
5:54 Sometimes we find ourselves having an empowering mindset in one place of maybe none other. And it does take us digging deep and searching deep. And if you find yourself being like, well, I already am empowered, or I already have a growth mindset. Or if you find yourself thinking those things, I think that's a great time to challenge yourself.
8:17 If you find yourself saying I can't --stop yourself, catch yourself and rephrase and reframe that. And ask yourself, are you choosing not to? Because if you're choosing not to, it's not a matter of you can or can't? It's? Will you? Or won't you? And that's totally different.
1:10:42 And honestly, your life is limitless if you give yourself permission, but a lot of times, due to whatever like sometimes upbringings social constraints boxes we, we choose to put ourselves in or let others put ourselves in, really limit the the scope of our imagination.

As we kick off the first week of the new year, it's a fabbo time to add some do-able tasks to your schedule or calendar that you can get excited about-- 6 Business Strategies For Wedding Pros. But, my friends, these are scheduling business strategies, not resolutions you made days before NYE that we all seldom know last through January.
This is the week to commit to making changes in your business to help with that ongoing work-life balance struggle. Leading up to this week, you probably wrapped up last year and made some notes of things you want to improve and set new goals. As you hear me often say, write it down and name it to claim it, right? Let's set the tone for success and get these 6 possible things also on your schedules so you can see them right there on your to-do list and be accountable for the follow-through just as you do your other task on your list.
Passion for what we do or the entrepreneurial spirit leads most of us to be business owners, so let's set our intentions that we will let that passion guide us not just on business growth but also personal development—starting the year with getting things scheduled that will lead us to less burnout and overwhelm.
Right now, this first week, get into the mindset that taking time off from your business is ok and start with these 6 possible things that might be good for ROI. Don't be afraid to make these small changes that can and will significantly impact your work-life balance.

More From The Candid Conversation
5:46 I started the stationery business seven years ago, in 2014. After being totally miserable in my corporate job, I'm sure a lot of our listeners can relate here.
9:05 100%, we cannot split up our efforts. Because then everything we do gets 10% here and 10% here and 10% here. I like to go all in on one or two things that are working, throw that fuel on the fire and go all in. So that's really what one of the things that has helped me scale my business was recognizing what worked.
55:21 Because people aren't telling other business owners that it's lonely. It really is lonely. And we like our own cheerleaders. And we can be our own cheerleaders. But having somebody that has your back that truly wants you to succeed is so special. And I think it's underrated.

In this powerful Episode 61: The Action of Gratitude-The Intentional Thank You, Bobbi reaches into our hearts to talk about GRATITUDE! While she recorded this just prior to Thanksgiving in the U.S., it remains timeless as we must always stop and remember that being grateful is an action we can and should take and that thank you is not just a reply.
Her consulting and coaching students all know that she encourages them to begin and start the attitude of gratitude practice. While it might be considered cliche by some, there is always something to be grateful for.
Bobbi wanted to share some reminders how being grateful in our business is an action that we need to prioritize.
Thank you should be set with intention and not just that quick, polite response that we've gotten so used to doing the action of gratitude. The intention of Thank you.
Please enjoy this very special episode of the Be Fabbo Podcast!

More From The Candid Conversation
6:00 Well, I do absolutely owe my career to the professional photographers of America, both the national, the state and the local organization that is affiliated with it.
13:08 I've planted seeds all along the way for them to be visualizing purchasing while portraits and albums and I keep it very simple. I don't have a lot of different choices because confusion leads to no sales.
15:57 I feel deep in my heart that if someone is photographing a wedding or another important event, and they are not producing a finished album, or wall portraits, and they're just handing over files. For me, they're not doing their job as a professional photographer.
21:12 I'd say learn how to sell, I'd say get a mentor, have have somehow learn a system, learn how to separate your art from your work as a product.
39:14 I help people shift their intention from just trying to figure out how to sell their stuff, to how do I serve my clients best? And to set up systems.

"For over 40 years I’ve had the honor of capturing love stories as a wedding photographer for fabbo couples in authentic moments from coast to coast. Along the way I’ve met some of the most talented and hard-working business owners, many of whom I’m proud to call friends. Working alongside them, the conversations we shared often turned to burnout, frustration, and the loss of excitement, they felt their purpose was gone. It’s those conversations that led me here today, ready to cheer you on."

How do you know when it is time to hire a Virtual Assistant? When you get to the place where it's time to hire a qualified person to help you run your business, what do you do first? With so many differences in rates and even specialties, you might wonder exactly what to do in order to get the best VA for you.
The biggest question is often how do you know when your time is better spent serving your clients and not doing a particular task in your business? How do you know when you can afford not to be doing the things you don't want/need to do--- and hire that Virtual Assistant? Maybe you ARE a Virtual Assistant. Adding value to your clients might involve seeking out a virtual assistant mentor. Hiring a business coach/mentor is the best way to get on track and quickly see measurable results.
Knowing how to choose a VA, making sure you have a contract, & thinking about a non-disclosure agreement are all parts of the very important decision to hire a new team member. Episode 51 of the Be Fabbo Podcast dives in to how to decide and get this done in the way that will best benefit you and your business.

Bobbi and Meredith Ryncarz dive deep into The Restart Specialist, a vital topic for the times every wedding creative lives in. Moving your business, honoring the wedding professionals in your new area, curating your portfolio, and following the regulations are just a few of the things discussed. Meredith, a former college art professor turned photographer (Meredith Ryncarz Photography) who never dreamed of owning a business now does that and more. As an Army wife and a momma to two crazy minions, she learned quickly that she couldn’t just do the thing she was passionate about. She had to find a way to balance the art with not only running a business but also restarting it over and over again in new places. Out of that experience, she became obsessed with helping creatives develop a flexible and efficient business model that enables them to thrive in the market they are in or the market they want to be in.
Meredith is a total INFJ who can often be mistaken for an extrovert with a pursuit for deep conversations held over a glass of whisky. She loves hole in the wall restaurants, museums, and farmers markets.

I love wearing jeans and boots with my hair tossed in a messy bun but I am no stranger to high heels and being dolled up! I love love pretty things and you can find me shopping the malls and local boutiques or spending time with my family when I’m not planning an event.
I have my Bachelors Degree from Norfolk State University in Interdisciplinary Studies, concentrating on business and graphic design. I always knew I would end up owning my own business, but I believe my time in the Navy allowed me to truly master the skills I need to succeed as the owner of an event planning firm.
Growing up I watched my aunt plan and design events for brides and couldn't wait to get my feet wet. After shadowing her for several years and working with the event planning committee in the Navy, I felt it was time to spread my wings, in 2014 Magnolia Rose Company was founded. With over 8 years in the industry, planning events still bring me an indescribable joy, for example when I see my couples faces as they prepare to take their first kiss or the overwhelming emotion of the groom as he sees his beautiful bride walk down the aisle.
With my passion to flawlessly execute polished events that exude quality and encompass your love story, I believe in continuing my education and dedicating time to learn new styles and trends my couples will love."

Couples were quick to comment about things they loved--- and things they didn't--- making this a great listen for all wedding vendors from photographers, to florists, wedding venues, cinematographers, hair and makeup pros, and everything in between.
She discusses, ghosting, price list pdf's, having a mobile compliant website and ease of use for consumers, vetting, vendor referrals, LGBTQ+ friendly vendors, and so much more.

"David Skaggs is a wedding filmmaker based out of St. Louis, MO. Having shot over 200 weddings in his career, he has recently left a full time video production job to start a small boutique wedding film company, Coterie Creative.
While films are our passion, what we love most is leaving the world a little better each time we get to work. That's why we have chosen to give a portion of each film we make to charity. We're lucky enough to make people happy with our jobs, and we want to share that happiness with others."

"Corporate turned small business owner wasn’t the career path I originally had in mind for myself, but this unexpected twist has led to so much happiness and fulfillment!
I have been privileged to work for multiple Fortune 500 companies in product development, design and buying positions. But as I climbed the corporate ladder, I wanted to know who I was creating for. The desire to help connect and share life’s extraordinary moments manifested into Charlotte + Lily. Whether near or far, our collaborative design process is 1-on-1. Since she was a little girl, Veronica Howard of Veronica Howard Events, has been a planner and coordinator at heart. She absolutely LOVES planning parties. Give her an occasion and she will start planning immediately. Ideas are endless and she strives to exceed expectations. Every detail matters, NO detail is too small!
"I have planned a number of events and celebrations for friends and loved ones. I finally decided to make a career out of it. I have learned that if you are passionate about what you do, it’s not work. Creativity, Organization, Perseverance, Resourcefulness and Communication are qualities I was blessed with and learned along the way.
My experience working for close friends lead me to fine tune my skills. I graduated from Coastal Pines Technical College with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts. During my last semester, I was offered a position as a Personal Chef for a private family in Sylvania, Ga. There, I met some amazing people which subsequently landed me another position with Tasteful Temptations. I met and worked with the Owner and Executive Chef of Tasteful Temptations, Brian Justice. I worked for Tasteful Temptations as a Chef for a year and then transitioned into my dream position of Event Coordinator. The experience I gained was astounding. In my 2 1/2 years of working with Tasteful Temptations, I consumed myself with learning everything about the industry. I attained practical skills, exposure and met some incredible connections and vendors. During my time at Tasteful Temptations, I realized some demands are lacking for our Beautiful Golden Isles. Those demands inspired me to venture out and launch my very own company.
**My personal goal is to celebrate you! Weddings, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Birthday Parties, Engagements, Retirement Parties or Promotions. I love making people feel special. I absolutely love providing a WOW factor with jaw dropping elements to continue to surprise my clients along the way. "

Monica Andreae is the Catering & Events Director at Halyards Catering on St. Simons Island, GA. She helps create and design experiences that mark special events like weddings and receptions, anniversaries, family reunions, dinner parties, corporate events and more. Whether she’s working on production elements like tent, lighting and layout or menus, the most important piece of the process to her is giving clients an experience that reflects what they want. Values like honesty and integrity are at the core of everything she does in order to assure a great client experience.
Andreae’s passion for events started from her years of work in the luxury automotive industry. Working on national events and launch campaigns for clients like Audi and Saab was the foundation that started her passion for events and event management. Having different objectives and elements for each event keeps her going and being able to close the book on a successful program is very satisfying. It’s what she’d like to think is what drives her to get up every morning, but honestly, it’s her 8 year old daughter. Andreae is a proud mother of her busy and energetic daughter. While not producing events or meeting with clients, she keeps busy coaching her daughter’s soccer team, dashing her off to piano or riding lessons and keeping family life as full of fun as possible.

Tracy Brisson is the owner of Savannah Custom Weddings & Elopements where she creates elopement and intimate ceremony-focused experiences as a professional wedding officiant. She believes wedding ceremonies should be authentic and make you feel joyful AND empowered, and that every wedding celebration, whether small and intimate, or grand and bold, deserves the same level of attention and love from their vendors.
Like many entrepreneurs who launch businesses to solve problems they faced, Tracy decided to become a wedding officiant when she could not find the perfect officiant for her own 2014 Savannah wedding. She now manages a team of officiants and together, they have married over 1300 couples over the last five years. One of the best parts of her job is showing all types of love, and the beauty of Savannah, to the world via social media.
Prior to becoming a wedding officiant, Tracy worked in the career and recruitment space as an independent consultant and writer and before that, was the Director of Teacher Recruitment for NYC Public Schools. She lived in NYC her entire adult life until she moved to Savannah for a change of pace where she quickly fell in love with the city, and the man who would become her husband a few years later. As the mom to a toddler, she doesn’t have much time for hobbies these days, but loves old school Marvel comics, a good bourbon on the rocks, and the Atlantic Ocean.

"What I do: My job is to help bring dream weddings to life by communicating with each vendor so couples don't have to worry about who is showing up when, coordinating a rehearsal so the bridal party, parents, and grandparents can go into the wedding day with confidence, create and maintain a timeline for the wedding day, make sure i's are dotted and t's are crossed, put out any and all "fires", make sure the couple is enjoying their day, and that's just to name the basics. I've found myself creating centerpieces, cutting cakes, fixing bride and groom's dinner plates, and so much more. I have a passion for wedding days; that includes the tiny details, the love, the hustle and excited air each of those days bring."

The most respected and sought after wedding officiant in the region, officiating ceremonies in the most courteous and sincere way.
"Revie" as some of the 'kids' call him, has married couples from around the world, over 30 countries throughout my professional life, and have officiated weddings throughout the southwest in Texas and southeast from Georgia and Florida, to South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee, as well as in the Midwest in Wisconsin and Ohio, and in Pennsylvania.
This reputation has granted Rev. Schulte the opportunity to be featured in numerous websites and wedding publications throughout the country, including TV shows, with appearances on Bravo TV and TLC, which has given him the opportunity to marry celebrities, NFL players, and a professional Mixed Martial Artist champion in the UFC. Recently Southern Living Magazine featured Rev. Schulte in a video in their online site SouthernLiving.com as the “South’s Most Sought-after Officiant,” calling him “the officiator extraordinaire.”
Tommy Crenshaw has over 25 years experience in music entertainment and special event design and production.
