Harvest Profit allows you to set up Crops and Sub-Crops within the software. This is done via the Settings link at the bottom of the screen.
Harvest Profit's Applications tab is where you build up your actual agronomic plans.
Important note: You can copy all of a field's applications (or individual applications) to other fields via the Copy links shown under each field on the Applications tab. This saves 90%+ of the data entry for our average customer when building their initial crop budget.
Variable costs and overhead expenses are entered into Harvest Profit via the Inputs tab. Note that variable costs are only listed as prices on the Inputs tab. We calculate the actual per acre/per field costs using data from the Applications tab.
After setting up your fields in Harvest Profit, the next step is to build your crop plan on the Crop Planner tab.

All-in-all, we have built the software to be used one hour per month (for the average account). Winter crop year set up will be a bit more than that but some months will be less as well.
