This is the story of Isabel Martinez, a happily married woman, who suddenly gets involved in an "e-affair" with a coworker. When her husband finds out, Isabel's life takes an unexpected twist, as she finds out that the strong marriage she thought she had, was an illusion. Will she be able to save her marriage?
Matthew had already imprinted his mark in my heart. Larry had my commitment and my good intentions, maybe he could have my friendship and my respect back, but he could never have my heart, because it belonged to somebody else. He had closed every door inside the chambers of my heart and Matthew had taken over the empty spaces that Larry had left, and his roots have grown so deep inside the fibers that it was impossible to remove them without me bleeding to death.
I found Larry’s car parked in front of The Edge, in Old Town Temecula. From across the street I could hear the band playing Billy Ocean’s “Loverboy”. The place was packed with people having a great time, it seemed like I was the only one with a heavy heart in the candlelit surroundings. And then I spotted the other broken hearted soul, sitting at the bar with a bottle of beer and a shot glass coming down empty from his lips. I walked slowly and touched his back gently, he flinched when he saw me.
Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry The alarm on my cell phone went off at five, but my eyes had already been opened and I had spent the past hour in confusion-land, walking through the wilderness of my emotions and my feelings, and trying to hide from the darkness of my guilt and my fear of the unknown. I smelled the coffee brewing and heard Larry’s steps coming upstairs. “Good morning!” He said in a serious voice, still wearing the same jeans and the same Hawaiian shirt he had worn the previous night. “So... you’re spending the night at Linda’s...
I tried to act normal, but my thoughts were so far away from my body. I replayed the forbidden encounter in my head over and over, and wanted to run to Matthew’s arms and relive the scenes again. But I had seen the somber shadow of a good-bye in Matthew’s last glance, as we both knew that crossing the line again would only complicate our lives. I had to pretend that everything was alright and continue in the battle to save my marriage, now with the knowledge that my heart was no longer in it.
"For the next thirty minutes the time stopped for us, the people faded, our minds stopped thinking, and the passion transported us to a parallel world, where we were free to be ourselves, where our bodies and our souls were so in tune that they’ve become one, inseparable, torrid, unrestrained."
The Veronicas - 4Ever As the garage door closed behind me, I closed my eyes in fear, trying to figure out how to react to Larry's latest strike against me. I could start a new fight and call all of our friends to tell them that Larry has been lying to them, explain to everybody that I was innocent of all his accusations, and even tell everybody about the things he had done: his ads on Craigslist looking for sex companions, the strippers incident, his addiction to pornography and his requests for me to sleep with other guys to satisfy...
Matt Natheson - Falling Apart As the weather cooled down and the colors of the leaves changed the landscape outside, my dreams of happiness in my marriage continued to fall down from the branches of the tree of hope, that used to keep them green and nourished. Something was dying inside me, and I knew something has died inside Larry as well. We tried very hard to pretend we could survive this crisis, but there was nothing that could keep our hearts together anymore. The wind has blown the leaves of our happiness forever and all that was left was...
Lady Antebellum - I Run To You As if the Crazy Cycle wasn't challenging enough, the firewood of our financial struggles kept the heat of the arguments in constant combustion. Larry's limited income continued to shrink. We were struggling to pay our utilities and basic needs. We were snowed under credit card debt, mostly in my name. I had been the one with the clean credit history, so we had purchased furniture, paid for trips and even property taxes with my credit. And lately, we had used up whatever credit was available to buy groceries and pay bills. It wasn't...
Matchbox Twenty - Breakfast at Tiffanys After I acknowledged my feelings and faced the real desires of my heart, I had to hunt and seek rigorously inside me, to discover the meager hopes for a happy marriage. I told myself that as long as I could find the slimmest hope, I would keep fighting and I would not give up. Then once again I fell into a deep sleep, so deep that I didn't hear Larry when he got home at dawn. Suddenly his hands fondled my face softly, startling me with his deep blue, blood shot eyes staring at...
Lady Gaga - Bad Romance I went to my room and turned on my laptop to try to put together a response to Larry's e-mail. I was not sure about the "proof of life" he was expecting me to give him, so I just started to write my feelings and everything that came to my mind. The keyboard didn't get a rest for the next hour. I wrote about my pain with his unforgiveness and self-righteousness. I wrote about how confused I was with the whole affair accusation, after I had done nothing but give up on my suspected lover,...
