On this episode, I catch up with Cassaundra, a fellow teacher, and co-author of our book "She's No Longer Silent", who lives and works in Alberta. She talks with me about her experiences teaching abroad in Australia and teaching on a First Nations reserve. She talks about her experiences of outdoor education in Australia and how she came to appreciate and embrace her teaching on the reserve.
On this episode, I catch up with Charlie, a fellow high school classmate from back in Ontario. He is now teaching and living in New Brunswick. He talks about his experiences of professional development in San Diego, taking a group of students abroad on a trip to Europe and life in the Canadian province with the 2nd highest population of French-speakers.

We discuss setting up the environment in a French language class, the importance of taking risks with language learning, and she shares some of her personal philosophies when it came to teaching in her classroom. She gives good advice for new teachers but also for us who are looking for ways to keep French alive in our classrooms today.
