We are not born into a Christian family. We are baptized into it. Once one becomes baptized, they join a family more extensive than their biological family. Like a human body, the family of God is many parts woven together into one. Today, is about remembering our family identity and celebrating it, For by doing so we see and celebrate the gifts God has placed in our lives.

Like a human body, the family of God is many parts woven together into one. Each member of this family has their own unique qualities. Sometimes it leaves us wondering, do we fit in at all? Regardless of the diversity, we are all one big family of God.

Today is a special day in the Church, a day we call All Saints Sunday. I invite you to remember this day, the people you have loved and lost and to find strength to trust, that we have not lost them. They dwell in heaven and we will be together again.

At Advent, we remember the ministry entrusted to our care by the saints, both living and dead, as we seek to equip the ministry for 2021.

Lectio Divina(Divine Reading) is a traditional monastic practice of reading and meditating upon scripture. We read scripture not for study, but to listen to the words so we might hear the voice of God speaking to us through them. I have invited friends to join me in the practice. We are inviting us in listening and praying.
