DPP's is the largest provider of interim and permanent housing, coupled with support services in order to help individuals work toward becoming self-sufficient. These vital support services enable the individuals to receive case management and life coaching, employment support such as job coaching, as well as engagement with employers—effectively stopping the cycle of homelessness.
Carol joins me to talk about the system that DuPage Pads envisioned to end homelessness, which has become a national prototype.. DuPage Pads has been honored with multiple grants, awards and supporters to see it's organization successfully continue a growth of added services and partnerships, from the local community level to nationwide collaborations. In 2018, DPP's successfully served 1,000 individuals of which 330 obtained stable housing. 37,744 nights of shelter and 120,000 meals were provided.
DPP's works with a large group of trained volunteers of which tonight we will have a special volunteer; Carol's Grandson Aidan join us, who received a 2018 Youth Service Award from the City and Mayor of Naperville along with KidsMatter for his 700 plus hours of volunteering!
Carol will share with us, what opportunities are available if someone finds themselves in the unfortunate position of homelessness, as well as the volunteer opportunities that are offered, how you can become a partner, attend/organize a fundraiser, or provide donations.

Luis was born in Columbia, moved to the states when he was 8 yrs old and was raised in the Miami Florida area. From an early age Luis had a special intuitive relationship with the spirit realms and acquired a background of experience in the Mystical and Shamanistic studies of Santeria, Palo, and Orisha. In this first show of this series I relate the memories of a CIA agent who rescued women from human trafficking. Why has this continued for so long hidden from our collective awareness and how can we address the revelations of these crimes coming to our awareness.With the recent rape and pedophile scandals coming to the surface in our world arena to be addressed and healed, we are in need of keeping in mind the greater spiritual concepts which can be applied in order to resolve these shocking and barely believable atrocities that have been lurking unchecked behind closed doors. As a collective we need to take responsibility as a unified group for having allowed these secret dark acts to fester and cause great abuses to millions of people across millennia.
Our best response is to approach these areas with the greatest of spiritual perspective and discernment. It is a delicate balance of not wishing to point fingers in blame, yet to directly hold accountable the parties out of balance and the perpetrators who have lost their way in the grand scheme of love of unity, in some assemblance of no longer being connected to the heart of Source and to provide understanding as to how they have arrived on our doorstep.

Reiki has been a part of alternative healing in our Western world since the 80's. At that time, fees for Reiki were up to $10,000! A lot has changed for Reiki practitioners since that time. As with any spiritual healing practice, many work with Reiki in their own style, adding to it, and as a method of healing that does not have any legal certification on it, Reiki has become a practice with many diverse styles. Bridging the gap between these developments and having studied a traditional style Reiki, Cindy takes the listeners thru an expansive understanding of this ancient healing technique from it's conception to its current place in our society, discussing the use of symbols, an attunement process, calling in guides and spirits, the chakras and intuitive work.
