The final kingdom os this world is quickly now manifesting itself before our eyes, this series is going to look at one particular aspect of it and that is DIVISION, both Societal Division and Economic Division. We see noted in Daniel 2 a final world empire of Iron and Clay, it will be this passage that we shall expound/
When the Church married the world. Pergamos is a picture of compromise. No longer willing to suffer for Christ, she has joined in affinity with the comforts of favour, a favour that will lead to the total corruption of the Church historically with the next church on this journey.
Persecution seemed the way the Church began to truly grow in the Lord. Sadly however it was the desire for relief of this persecution that began the decline of the Church of our Lord.-Nevertheless, Smyrna is one of only two churches for which there is no negative report, but an encouragement to endure.
How did we get to the perilous times we now live in-- A study of the seven churches in revelation wonderfully illustrates the journey.
Our hope and confidence in Christ ought to leave us so greatly comforted that no matter the trials and challenges of life, we are not -careful- ie worried or fearful of the times, though they be perilous.

Psalm 119-89 says simply, -For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven-, choosing to believe or not believe that God has preserved his words in languages other than the original writings has no bearing on whether or not he has- our faith in the matter does no change its reality.-If God has promised to preserve his words, we should believe it.-If God has the power to keep his promises, we should expect it.-If God cannot lie, we should trust him.-If man cannot disunull what God has promised, our faith should remain resolute.-If God is not limited by language, we should not limit him to a language.-The KJV will remain the perfect word of God for the English speaking people until he returns or the language of the world changes.-I pray the series has been a blessing and encouraged you.-Pr Edi

-And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature-. Mrk 16-15.--The one single commandment given to the church by the Lord was to preach the Gospel and to make disciples of men. Sadly much of todays church has been distracted from the first and delegated the second. In largely rejecting the plainness of the proclamation of the words of God, the church has moved toward all forms of social justice matters and determined that the training of pastors be undertaken by largely unacountable Bible colleges, for which nothing is directly spoken of in the scriptures.--The result is the utter distortion of the word of God itself, attended to for the purpose of justifying the status quo.
We exalt the character of one who is 'A man of his word', but too many malign the character of God denying he promised to preserve his words. -God is not a man that he should lie -Num 23-19-, but this is exactly what people call him when they reject an authoritative volume of his words.-But is there a motive behind this rejection---Is it the words they reject, or is it what the words say that offends them--
The Persona of Truth is Jesus Christ, he came into the world to bear witness of the truth and all who are of the truth hear his voice. The view we hold respecting the Bible reflects with accuracy the view we hold respecting Jesus Christ.

A Conscience Awoken. With so many people today ignoring their consciences, it seems inevitable that many problems arise in their lives. But it is time now to -awaken out of sleep-.

Our joy and hope is not in governement but in God. Government gives no permission for joy, God does and when we delight in God not Government, our hope and joy remains despite efforts to the contrary.

The meaning of apostasy is the departure from the faith. The passage in 2 Thessalonians brings to the surface that most evident sign we are witnessing today.-There is no doubt we are living in the time of this sign.
