Imagine Moving On is a phrase with several meanings. It is borrowed from the book The Biology of Desire: why addiction is not a disease, by Marc Lewis. In the book the phrase suggests that personal change will not be realized until the desired outcome can be imagined as possible. This podcast originated as Stop Recovering Start Living, dedicated to understanding and overcoming addiction. Starting with season 5, Imagine Moving On will be dedicated to understanding human behavior and self-improvement more generally, with increased focus on spirituality. This one is a brainstorm resulting from the question of whether addiction requires behavior change or acceptance to overcome. And then it becomes about acceptamce and resistance being polar opposites on a spectrum of behavior change. Just a long thought exercise.

I am working on a guided meditation to address the heart as a symbol of the authentic self and opening it up. That sentence doesn't adequately explain it. This episode intends to explain it, but it too may not do it adequately. Also, not sure what happened with my recording setup, but my voice came out sounding slowed down, pitch affected somehow. I caught it and recorded a introductory disclaimer using a different microphone. I don't always listen to the episodes before I publish them or even after, so this may have been going on for a few episodes. Whatever the situation is I'll have to figure it out going forward. Hopefully it's not too disrupting to listen to.

Always rambling about something, here's another take on the terrain theory of health. You've likely been taught the germ theory, here's a haphazard explanation and contemplation on terrain theory. Regardless of how I say it, the message is of self-empowerment. You are in control of your own environment.

Recently the theme of genocide has been popping up among sources I listen to. It has sparked some contemplation on my part. A random conversation and recollections of topics from college have all come together with the theme of genocide to yield this podcast episode. In my usual style I end up with more things to think about than complete thoughts. And that's just fine.
