THE DANGERS OF HB 5108 - MARK SAK
State Representative Jason Morgan (D) 23rd District has introduced the what is also known as the "Protect Michigan Fishing Act."
A bill that would allow a large increase in commercial fishing in all of our Great Lakes and also be allowed to target walleye, perch, tout and other species.
The bill would jeopardize the health of a 2,3 billion dollar recreational fishing industry and greatly benefit the very small commercial industry. It would also create a large gap in oversight, with the limited force of MI DNR Officers that we already have.
THE RUT BEGINS - DOUG "DEER PROFESSOR" ROBERTS
According to the Deer Professor, Doug Roberts, the recent cold snap will increase whitetail breeding activities over the next three weeks.
