Over 90% of illness is connected to our gut health, and many can be avoided with the right combination of diet, lifestyle, and supplements. Yet if you are anything like me you are asking, "Where do we even begin to make changes that will actually impact our well-being?" Dr. Robin Rose unpacks all of this and more. We all have these moments and they happen often. So what can we do about it? Here I is my story of what I did this morning when I was feeling this way and how God made it clear to me that he was much closer than I thought.

**Summary of What You Can Do When God Feels Distant

Write down your thoughts, feelings and questions**: it helps to know what you are feeling and also to identify answers when God gives them to you. Write down when you get the answers as well because it will help you the next time you are feeling this way to remember how God showed up for you.

Worship: Put on music or sit in silence. Worship in the way that’s most comfortable for you.

We often experience and hear things during times of worship.

Gratitude: Spend time thinking of what you are grateful for and express these things to God.

Be Useful: We have many ways to live out purpose. Connect with someone, meet the needs of someone else or do whatever you are supposed to do for you in that moment.

Connect With Nature: We often experience God through nature so go out and take a walk, breathe in the beauty and tranquility of nature (when its not snowing in April like it is today).

This is the YouTube link to Steven Furtick’s message that I came across this afternoon after I wrote this episode. It’s such a good word and even echos some of the things I say in this show. Short and powerful- take a listen! https://youtu.be/Xmgz35y8Wa4
