In this engaging episode of AutismRadio.org, our host Paul Cimins sits down with Registered Behavior Therapist, Stephanie Loibl, to discuss her determined efforts to revolutionize autism care. From sharing the tangible progress of her clients to her ambitious plan to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in Malawi, Africa, Stephanie's commitment and passion are clear throughout the episode.

Shining a spotlight on the critical shortage of ABA services in Malawi, Stephanie outlines her plan to provide essential training to caregivers, parents, and educators. Her impressive initiative was directly inspired by a parent of one of her clients from Malawi. From her firsthand experiences, Stephanie has a deep understanding of the stark difference between the healthcare systems in the U.S. and resource-limited regions.

Moving onto Stephanie's highly ambitious future plans, the episode discusses her aspiration to establish a therapy clinic in Malawi. This dream is now closer to reality thanks to advancements in video conferencing technologies. However, making this transformative vision a reality requires substantial funding. Consequently, Stephanie and her team have set up a GoFundMe campaign aiming to raise much-needed resources.

Documenting the journey towards improving autism support in Africa, this episode is an eye-opening exploration of the inspiring actions taken by individuals like Stephanie to address the urgent needs of the international autism community. The episode will captivate anyone interested in autism therapy and the vital steps being taken to increase global access to support.

Paul Cimins interviews Mitch Malloy, an American singer, best known as the former lead vocalist for the rock band Great White from 2018 to 2022.

Malloy studied music at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. He got his first break when he was signed to RCA. Malloy's self-titled first album featured session musicians such as Mickey Curry, Hugh McDonald and Michael Thompson.[1] His first single as a solo artist on RCA records, "Anything At All", was a top 20 rock charting hit and a pop hit in the US.[5] His third single, "Our Love Will Never Die", earned him an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.[1] His second album, Ceilings And Walls, featured guest musicians such as Bernie Leadon, Mike Rutherford and Paul Carrack.[6]

He auditioned to be the singer of hard rock band Van Halen after Sammy Hagar's departure.[7][8][9] Malloy recorded various demos with the band, and Eddie Van Halen gave Malloy an instrumental demo to use for his own endeavors. This song was released by Malloy in 2015 as "It's the Right Time".[10]The riff reemerged in the sessions leading up to Van Halen's 1998 studio album Van Halen III in the song "That's Why I Love You." The song was scrapped from the record in favor of "Josephina."[11]

Malloy has had a lengthy career featuring in various bands as lead singer, releasing solo albums, and making guest appearances as well. His latest album marks his first time completing an entire release all on his own.[12]

Paul Cimins interviews Manisha Lad, Neurodiversity Family Coach.

Her journey started as an Information Technology consultant and worked in the field with leading companies like Siebel Systems, Metlife, UBS bank in Tokyo. 2001 I decided to quit my career when our only son Akhil Lad was diagnosed with AUTISM.

Kevin Donaldson knows suffering.

Suffering was the springboard from his childhood into a precarious relationship as he climbed the ranks as a police officer.  His suffering spiraled after a nearly fatal shooting while on active duty.

This incident became an ideal storm in which he began the dependent dance with alcohol, drugs, suicidal ideations, and depression.

Now clean and sober, Kevin is a leading advocate for mental health, especially for those on the front line. Kevin is a keynote speaker and the face for the men in crisis across the east coast.  Kevin is the host of the critically acclaimed podcast, The Suffering Podcast, which ranks in the top 1% globally.

About Autisable

Autisable is a community-based website that connects anyone who wants to discuss any topic associated with autism.

In 2008, Autisable was launched as part of the Xanga.com, LLC network of blogging community sites, in an effort to provide an avenue for people to share their journey with Autism.    The Xanga Team asked Joel Manzer to head up the site, as he has a son that is diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum.

For the first 6 years, Autisable grew in traffic and engagement with the community, connecting over a hundred bloggers and several national and international non-profits that reached over 30,000 unique IP’s worldwide and over a hundred thousand page views a month.

Then in 2014, Xanga shelved it’s proprietary platform and old business model, which left Autisable on life support for over a year and a half.

In August of 2016, Joel Manzer created Autisable, LLC – based in Virginia Beach, VA,  a company that eventually took ownership of Autisable.com.

With its redesign, Autisable is now able to continue its efforts to connect the autism community.

Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior.  But over the years we’ve discovered that it’s much more than that….

We encourage discussion surrounding all aspects of Autism/Aspergers, and associated issues surrounding those with Special Needs.

Our goal is to create a community of individuals with various viewpoints surrounding the controversies of Autism and to give back to the Autism community through donations to organizations that help the Autism Community. As the Autisable community grows, so will our ability to donate to these organizations.

Here is a list of ways that you can be involved in the Autisable community:

  1. Join Autisable – You don’t have to have Autism or have a family or friend with Autism in order to be a part of the Autisable Community. By participating in the Autisable community you are helping to spread awareness and understanding of Autism, and we appreciate your support and encouragement.
  2. Submit a post to Autisable. Once you’ve written something you’d like to share with the community, send it our way! The editors of Autisable thoughtfully choose the best posts and feature them on the front page!
  3. Read other posts and comment on them. The dialogue that develops on the posts we feature is the heart of the Autisable community and is by far the best way to interact with other members of the community!

You may subscribe to our RSS Feed, follow us on Twitter and become a fan of us on Facebook! We embrace social networking, and we know you won’t always have time to check the front page each day. We also can come to you via E-Mail. We use these tools to let you know what posts we’re featuring so you can best decide what posts you’d like to read and discuss.

Mailing Address: Autisable PO BOX 62155 Virginia Beach, VA 23466
