We finally got to Stone Cold on this podcast… but we actually did so back in August. Life got the better of Justin and podcasts a’plenty didn’t get finished of posted(stay tuned for another drop tomorrow on The Farchive feed). So, while The Condemned is not a horror film, it’s scary how long it took Justin to finally post this shit!
Don’t worry, though, we have stuff in the works for the next few months and some changes in the format so that when Justin inevitably runs behind the convo isn’t about non-current “current events”.

Nathan Jones wrestled for a short time in WWE, but wrestled for a little while before that. Most of us know him more for his actijng roles, though. As he reprises his role of Rictus Erectus in Furiosa, we visit his memorable role in Mad Max: Fury Road.
You’ll note that after the first 52-ish minutes, there’s a soundclip of Nathan in the film. That is because the recording service we used blipped and we had to log in to a new recording room to finish the podcast, so forgive any disjointedness. We still think you’ll enjoy this one!

After having a few real bangers, Merder was tired of letting the others pick the movies because she was getting dangerously close to actually liking Nic. Enter 1993’s Deadfall, a true shit show. Resting alongside Trapped in Paradise, this one was absolute dreck. The crew genuinely hopes they are more entertaining than this film.
For a good synopsis of the film, you can just listen to Snot’s “Deadfall”, which is played at the end of the episode. It’s way better than the movie, for sure.
And you can watch Merder and Loki be badass derby girls on Friday night on the Rockstar Roller Derby Twitch. Live tickets are sold out, but Justin will be announcing it all live on Twitch.

Mania was pretty good but we had so much to talk about that we barely mentioned it. In fact, we even barely glazed over the sale of WWE. We had REAL RASSLIN’ to discuss with LVAC Commish joining us this month. That’s right, move over Fed, move over TK and AEW, it’s all about indie wrestling, with heavy does of Ultramantis Black, Jeff Cannonball, Myung-Jae Lee, and – of course, Big Dan Champion!
Chris brought with him an early oughts actioner by the name of The Marine, starring a pre-Hollywood-cash-cow John Cena. In addition, the three of them each chose a John Cena match to discuss… and no suprise who chose the worst of the bunch. But, alas, a good time was had by all!

So… Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies… yup, definitely a movie. But there’s not a lot of great things to say about it, sadly. Thankfully, there are a ton of great things to say about Matt Hardy’s wrestling skills, especially in some iconic tag team bouts! There are a bounty of great Hardy matches, but we chose 3 for this month: the classic original TLC match, a great Kevin Steen singles match from ROH, and Hardyz face off with the Briscoes, in honor of the late great Jay Briscoe.
Reach for the Sky! This month was a ton of fun, even if the movie wasn’t. The matches were a real treat this month. We got to chat about the latest AEW PPV, too!

This, our 15th episode (and slightly belated January episode), features good and bad lucha. The good comes from the Silver King and the bad from the silver screen. While Justin is surely a fan of Nacho Libre and Doug is surely not, they can agree that the wrestling in the film is not so great… but the actual matches they cover from the legendary luchador Silver King, on the other hand.
We touched briefly on the sad passing of Jay Briscoe, but in late February we’re taking on some classic Hardy matches and including a bonus third match of the Hardys vs. the Briscoes, so we can spend a bit more time on Jay in the ring and the mark he’s left on wrestling.

Like the film or not, Trapped in Paradise was at least much more fun to discuss for the Cagematchers this month and it lead to Justin picking one he knows at least HE loves for next month in David Lynch’s Wild at Heart… even if this month’s film had him so frazzled he referred to Laura Dern as Helen Hunt.
