Jerry Purfz’s musical journey started in 1999… He started collecting music late in 2000. He has, over the years established himself as a prominent NUJAZZ HOUSE/ACID JAZZ Blender in SA. His immense knowledge of music has earned him a niche in the Industry and has shared stage with the likes of, Harrison Crump, DJ Oskido, DJ Mbuso, Lulocafe, Kent, SPHEctacular just listing a few and has played in Johannesburg’s most up-market clubs(The Bank, Moloko, Capitol, Laluna, etc). Though he enjoys listening than actually Djying, his love for House music was fueled by the likes of Kevin Hedge, Larry Heard, MAW, Glenn Underground and many more. Inspired by the likes of 4hero, Reel People, Ananda Project and Kuniyuki Takahashi, Jerry Purfz has taken up music production and stresses he will mostly focus on the NUJAZZ/BROKEN BEAT AND SMOOTH JAZZ type of productions.

I did this mix about Five Years ago for my Cousin (King Tso). Its one of the most memorable and sweet mixes I've done. I barely can rememember the tracklist but it features tracks by Osunlade - I don't Know, Vincent Montana Jr - That's what Love does, Nastee Nev - Shingelengele, Blaze - I found Love(Fanatic Mix), Halo and Kemal - You lift me up(Instr) etc. Just a few technical clitches, otherwise its a killer Mix. Its more lounge with a BPM of about 120.
