Join us as we follow after Jesus. We are growing as we learn to live and lead like Jesus at home and in the every day stuff of life. We are by no means experts, but as we look to the one who created family and has adopted all of us into His family, we will learn together how we should be in relationship with Jesus and those in our lives. This podcast will have real life stories and conversations, topical-focused series, and devotional episodes all aimed at learning to be close to Jesus and learn to do what He would do if He were you.
On this special episode of the Re:Center Podcast, John and Sawyer discuss a 3-year Bible reading plan set to launch this fall. As followers of Jesus, we are to be his apprentices/disciples. In order to become like Jesus we should apprentice to Him by following what He says (Words), what He does (Works) and how He lives (Ways). Our aim in our life should be to follow His Rhythms of Life and to pattern our own Rhythms of Life after His.
This season on RE:CENTER, we are going to be discussing the seven different Life Catagories to build these rhythms and practices following Jesus. You will then take what God is saying to you or inviting you into in each Life Catagory and add a plan to your personal Rhythms of Life workbook.

With the start of a new sermon series at Center Church all about Shalom, we thought it would be a great time to ask Dr. Michelle Knight to help us understand how we should think about Shalom.
Dr. Michelle Knight is a deacon at our church and a professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She is currently writing a textbook on the historical books (Baker), a commentary on Joshua (Cascade) and a commentary on Judges (Baker). Her research interests include narrative criticism, theology of the Old Testament, the early historical books, and poetry in biblical narrative. Dr. Knight and her husband, Kenyon, have a son, Oliver. They are an amazing family and we are blessed to have them as a part of the leadership of our church!

So what is Rhythms of Life all about?
The rhythms of your life are the regular patterns and schedule by which you live your life. We all have them whether we realize it or not. We all have regular things we do and regular seasonal rhythms throughout the year. The question then becomes not if we have Rhythms of Life but rather what are our rhythms and who or what are they serving?
As followers of Jesus, we are to be his apprentices/disciples. In order to become like Jesus we should apprentice to Him by following what He says (Words), what He does (Works) and how He lives (Ways). Our aim in our life should be to follow His Rhythms of Life and to pattern our own Rhythms of Life after His.
This season on RE:CENTER, we are going to be discussing the seven different Life Catagories to build these rhythms and practices following Jesus. You will then take what God is saying to you or inviting you into in each Life Catagory and add a plan to your personal Rhythms of Life workbook.

This month is Black History Month and we are excited to have Sheryl Gray join us on the podcast. Listen in as we ask Sheryl Gray to share with us the significance of Black History month. As a church and as individuals, we want to hear other’s stories so that we can see the world through other’s eyes.
